  • Yea It Does

    LOL

  • ya the reason it was going so slow is because look when it was filmed the trains were brand new so they werent broken in yet lol and ya lately we have had a BIG problem with it breaking down so any questions ill be happy to answer im the Lead at X2 so i can help with any questions :D

  • Its the same X track its just repainted red and black. There are just new trains, audio effects, a fire effect, and fog. The station is organized a little different as well.

This train actually runs a lot faster than the old ones b/c of the harder wheel compoound.

This is just a test run to see how the trains worked, so its a lot different now than it was 4 months ago.

  • Well once they Put 150 Pounds of weight in each car im thinkin it'll be at a better speed

  • it seems like the same track as X just new trains...

  • it is

  • dang its slow

  • are you crazy it goes over 75 miles per hour

  • certainly doesn't seem like it here.

  • because its a test run!

  • it is a lot faster than what it seems off the ride

go on it if u haven't already and you'll see

  • y is it better that the trains are lighter

  • because it goes faster cuz the old ones were heavier and it went slower than the new trains

  • to make it more realiable, Tim Burkheart the GM at Magic Mountain said the trains are 10,000 Pounds Lighter then the first Generation X's trains, if you go on it you'll see the difference on the new trians

  • There are no brakes on X until the end of the ride. The train was moving slow because it just started testing, wheels are new, bearings are new, and there's no weight on the trains.

The ride was made lighter to be less of a maintenence nightmare, the old heavy trains caused busted wheels and part replacement on a daily basis. 1 X wheel = $250

The new designed trains were NOT designed with the intent that the ride would be smoother, however, that may just become a result of the restoration.

  • BOOOOOOO!!! I would rather be thrashed around. Sure i would only ride it once...sometimes twice a day but it was fucking worth it!! This just looks like it is going to suck!

  • its just a test and tey let you rde when npark about to close

  • Hey you guys, that ride isnt slow.

Its a test run. When roller coasters do a test run, brakes frequently slow it down.

You can hear at 0:32 a popping noise which is the sound of the brake letting go.

So no worries peeps when it officialy launches it wont be soo slow.

And all you coaster addicts know that the ride always looks slow when your not on it.

  • That popping sound you hear is the anti rollbacks hitting against the train (the device that keeps the train from rolling down the lift hill in the event if the chain should stop or snap).

There are no breaks on the train, the breaks are on the track and are located at the end of the ride.

  • I was really pumped when hearing about X2..I figurd more turn R Maybe an extenstion 2 da track but all they did wuz make some adjustments 2 the sits.. and changed the color of da track..Y make it seem like its gonna b twice as better..dissapointed

  • there really was no point of them lightening up the trains. now its going too slow. it worked fine on the original X, why slow it down?

  • no thats not true, its not slow, it JUSTs looks slow and the reason why they had to lightening up the trains is becasue of downtime the old trains had, now they can run three trains no problem now, and its a much quicker load process then before, the old trains were shit compared to theses new trains

  • dude my friend said "DUDE THATS TOO SLOW" AND RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT THE GUY SAYS "YEAH IT DOES" lol

  • I wouldnt be surprised if this ride had a roll back every once in a while.

  • O_o I'm a little mad about them making the train FIVE FREAKIN' TONS LIGHTER!

Ok, when this opens I HOPE this is a good ride...or I'll be pissed.

  • its good, been on it like 4 times already, and all 4 times it never broke down yet

  • The first day I went to ride it it was broken down for a good hour.

  • thats what i would expect for a ride to do on opening day

  • no I didnt go on the opening day. I said the first day I went not the first day it opened.

  • my misunderstanding sorry

  • It's OK. =]

  • weird, it looks a bit slow ..

  • its slower because they put brakes on the parts where the seats spin to make the ride a little bit more enjoyable than a neck breaker!

like on the last raven turn you could here a popping noise and then the train picks up speed, thats because it was a brake holding it down!

  • Ok MAYYBBEEE they should put a LITTLE more weight on the trains...O_o

  • i saw the trains up close, i was no more then 5 feet away and i dont even work there, the GM of Magic Mountain said that was the problem of the first generation X, the trains were away to heavy and thats what part of reason why the ride always broke or shut down, they all did this because of reliability, the GM said that they were not worried about trying to make the ride more smoother, but keep it running all day without any problems like the first generation X did

  • dont worry us the riders will put more weight on it, lol

  • they look like they r operation for smoother

  • in a sense yes, but the main goal was to keep it running and not have any major problems anymore with it like the old X

  • yay finally a testing video
