The Spanish throughout the whole movie was basically in a Mexican accent and then, during this part of the movie, all the characters still had the Mexican accent while Buzz had a Spanish accent. Doesn't seem different when I'm telling you this, but it sounds very different in the movie.

I wish José Luis Gil voiced the Spanish Buzz in the American version, that would've been quite nice and interesting. In fact, he's a superb dubber instead of Javier Fernández-Peña, who is a mediocre dubber (in Spain's standards. This time in Spain they couldn't change the nationality of the character due to his remarkable movements, behaviour (though being stereotypical) and music (played by spanish guitars). If it was just a matter of changing language and nothing more they could have made him speak in French, for example.

They did the same with Puss in Boots from Shrek, being Banderas himself the one to dub the character in Spain, but with a strong Andalusian accent. In fact, Banderas is from Andalusia.
