I think Paul Darrow would make a damn good Master for Dr Who, he was brilliant as Kerr Avon in B7 and I cannot envision another actor playing Avon which sounds bizarre. I cannot off the top of my, head think which other actresses could play arch-enemy Servalan if B7 is ever remade for television. I am crtain of one thing if Blake's 7 ever does get remade for television, I am certain of one thing Servalan wil more likely turn up in the pilot episode of the new series , I would love that to happen
paul darrow, one of my favorite sci-fi actors. to me he'll be forever avon, and although he'd have been a great doctor twenty years ago Id think he'd be the first to admit that he might be a little too old, and will be even older by the time matt smith leaves which is not for another 4 years at least because of his 5 year contract. Still id love to see him in Who as another character, maybe in a crossover where avon survived and went to the whoniverse
This is excellent, but unlikely to happen - if he was chosen as the 12th Doctor hundreds of Blake's 7 / Doctor Who lovers would drop dead across the country of sudden heart attacks.
I agree.....Darrow did have a couple of roles in Doctor Who previously though - in "The Silurians" with Pertwee, and "Timelash" with Colin Baker (who, ironically, had a guest role on Blakes 7 as Bayban the Butcher in "City At The Edge of The World.") Anytime I see Darrow though, I always see him as Kerr Avon - i'm a loyal fan of Blakes 7 and Doctor Who.
@sixstanger00 I am also a loyal fan, of Blake's seven and Doctor Who and I agree with doctorw2 that Paul Darrow should have been the 6th Doctor and he would have been ace as the 6th Doctor in billions of ways would Paul Darrow.
He has a credit in the movie Gladiator(Russel Crowe). I wish someone would post that.

@dutchycooper actually theres nothing in either series which strongly opposes the blakes universe and the whoniverse being one and the same.

@dutchycooper Yeah by the new DW standards. I wish they would stop doing the whole the doctor needs to be young crap.

Interesting thoughts, Paul Darrow would make a good doctor. But, given his portrayal of Avon, would he make a better Master???

@chewie211171 He'd be a far more interesting good guy, that's the brilliant thing about him :)
