As great as Marty Schottenheimer was at developing a running games (Mack, Byner, Okoye, and Tomlinson), what hurt his career the most was his timidity and lack of creativity on all realms of offense. Give him a big game, and there was no doubt that Marty will screw it up one way or another. He made great teams decent, not the other way around.
