  • thanks for sharing

  • Great singing. Listening to his voice is a great stress buster

  • MMI mesmerises me any time I listen to him... any number of times I listen to him... he is new every time.. though this is only a recording... GREAT.. Thanks for sharing

  • MMI, GNB, SSI, MLV , MS are all God's gift to this world. Let us not even contemplate to criticise them. We don't have any "Yoggithai" to utter even a single word aginst these immortals

  • @MrRaj54 well said.

  • GNB,MS,MLV, all are great no question abt that..MMI is top in swaras and style .....what a innovative singing.....

  • SUCH A MAGNATIC VOICE T H A N K S

  • Madurai Mani or Madhura Mani? Many Carnatic Musicians like GNB, Semmangudi etc. were known for frequent deviations from Sruti while singing a Kriti. Madurai Mani Iyer was known for adhering to Sruti throughout his concerts. He has rendered more concerts than any other musician during his short lifespan. None can beat his inimitable style.

  • @Gurubala1 while i'm not disagreeing with the fact that MMI was inimitable or that he was a great singer and known for adhering to shruthi, i don't see why you should cast GNB or SSI in poor light with and i don't agree with your assessment of either of them.

  • @Gurubala1 As we age, there is a tendency for our voice to unsettle at the lower sa. This could be due to the heat generated .

  • Thanks after a long time got the originals

  • one of the greatest ever in karnatic music

  • god bless you ............thanks

  • He had a great style. adopted by many other singers like Shirkazhi, and TMS. The beauty of THOLUKKU - bending the notes. This style has been discarded by Balamurali etc.
