An excellent composition by Naushad Sahib and beautifully sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Shakeel Badayuni's lyrics are really wondeful. It should be mention that Naushad Sahib sepecially went to Mexico to undestand the gypsy style of music for this movie that is why music of this movie has a touch of western style. all credits to Naushad Sahib.
Such a lilting song! Nalini Jaiwant reminds you of Lana Turner! All her charm, grace and dancing ability wasted on a wooden-faced Suresh. They say opposites attract...still....
mirza jee what on earth you are doing to me . this is a very spacial song of my life aha aha jio mirza sahib atleast 100 years may be more .you dont know what joy you are giving to millions of people
When I was a child, my favorite song by a female singer was this song;, my favorite song by a male singer was Hemant Kumar's "Sun ja dil ki dastaan". I guess that after 50 years, these are still my favorite songs.
The film "Jadoo" was a "inspired" by "Carmen" At that point in time, the Glen Ford-Rita Haywoth version had been released, with Rita singing and dancing a song with the words "la ra loo, la ra loo", which was echoed in the Hindi song.
I had the good fortune of seen the film about 40 years back when I was a child in
Sri Lanka. Then about 30 years back a friend of mine gave me a audio recording of all the songs. I wish to buy the Vidio version of all the songs. Please contact me
vijayjayalath@yahoo.co.uk. I am at Victoria Australia. Thanks
I agree it is the finest piece of Accordion music. Fantastic. Vijay

Sweet composition. But I wonder why the guy doesn't look pleased according to the mood of the song.
