An excellent composition by Naushad Sahib and beautifully sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Shakeel Badayuni's lyrics are really wondeful. It should be mention that Naushad Sahib sepecially went to Mexico to undestand the gypsy style of music for this movie that is why music of this movie has a touch of western style. all credits to Naushad Sahib.

When I was a child, my favorite song by a female singer was this song;, my favorite song by a male singer was Hemant Kumar's "Sun ja dil ki dastaan". I guess that after 50 years, these are still my favorite songs.

The film "Jadoo" was a "inspired" by "Carmen" At that point in time, the Glen Ford-Rita Haywoth version had been released, with Rita singing and dancing a song with the words "la ra loo, la ra loo", which was echoed in the Hindi song.
