You'd be surprised at what one can get away with in a large and very busy american hospital. A vulture photo reporter will try anything. A camera wouldn't be noticed. ALL movies deriving from a book miss parts of the book... During my work in an american city hospital, I even found (and kicked out) a notary who was forcing a patient to give his testament in the presence of a bunch of greedy-looking relatives

I felt enraged to see that photographer taking pictures at 2:57, he's obviously the true example of paparazzi.

I always wondered on how he was able to get into the hospital, as with that large-sized camera, the hospital people would definetely confront and question him on his motives before he entered Ricky's room.
