To the far left on both broadcasts you had Chuck Dowdle, who moved to Atlanta--where I think he still is....first broadcast had (I think) Don Noe on weather and the 2nd one had the legendary Walter Cronise!
If you've ever watched The Shining then you'll see a cameo with Glenn Rinker near the end of the movie in which he is reporting on the blizzard conditions of Colorado from the Newswatch 10 studios in Miami.
This was truely the heyday of NewsWatch 10 and WPLG. It never was better than this. I spent a lot of time in and out of the TV10 newsroom at the time, but ended up working up the street at WTVJ, where we spent a LOT of time watching what was coming out of Broadcast House up on Biscayne. :)
Wow, this is great. Newscasts were so well produced at that time, despite the lack of technology. Today's newscasts are wasted efforts for the most part.

If there was a news show with this kind of old school production with the graphics, clothing, set, and closing credits, I would absolutely watch it.

At 0:35, is this the same Richard Schlesinger that's currently at CBS News, or another guy?
