  • Nasty!

  • @nailzboy1 everyone that plays in cooperstown gets into the youth hall of fame

  • holly cow this kid is good

  • Great job parents

  • Very impressive.

  • Future MLB player

  • This kid's probably better than my highschool catcher

  • @xvoidkiller true but he can still block

  • he isnt bad.

  • teach him to follor his throw it will make his pop time faster and he will throw out alot more people

  • i played againts this kid he pretty good at catching but u can throw to him easy

  • @xvoidkiller he is 9 years old dip shit. only more exposure and experience will allow him to become a more all around excellent catcher.

  • Holy crap!!!!!!!!

  • he is really good! but tell him to leave his helmet on unless he cant find the ball thats when he will take it off. Because even though he his little some1 might run into him at home. but other then he does every thing else pretty much perfect and if he can keep it up he will go along way.

  • @1KryptoniK1 actually he kept his helmet on most of the time. man hes good!

  • too bad he not going to make it to the bigs

  • he shouldn't have his hand exposed like that though :S

  • @MYxNAMExISxMATT exactly bro

  • the kids a beast, but almost everytime he catches the ball he flips his glove, if fixes that hes gonna be the best catcher alive

  • did anybody notice he switched gloves???

  • U kno he's legit when he has a Pro elite catchers mitt at 9 years of age

  • Hows this kids bad his def is awesome

  • this kids really good he's almost as good as me and I'm 13.

    Great Job!!!!

  • Are they the same team, I just noticed that the only thing that is different about the two uniforms is the sleeves and maybe the name on the front. Anyway that kids a beast, when I was 9 I didn't even try to block the ball, I would just stick my glove out and hope to get lucky.

  • He's just as good as my catchers on my 12/13 team. (Except he cant throw as hard ofc, and i think he runs somewhat slower.) But still, awesome.

  • i was better than that kid by a lot iolny had 10 past balls in 73 games and 39 throw outs to any ive been vote into the youth hall of fame in new york and was and all star and played up all my live

  • @nailzboy1 No one cares, they came here to watch this kid, not here a comment with no proof of anything.

  • he has a very week arm it takes two seconds to release the ball it should be down to one bye now jus saying or 1.5 he needs his arm needs to be behind under his butt he will get hurt.

  • Kid is very good catcher but he needs to stop pulling off his face mask, wasting time doing that unless its a pop up. My son is a catcher and with the full face masks like that kid is wearing you are wasting time ripping it off.

  • great catcher going to be pro

  • POST A VIDEO OF THIS KID HITTING!!!

  • im 13, im one of the best catchers in the county. i led the county in average and rbi's. and i lead in throwing out runners, and this 9 year old is better than me. We are gonna see this kid in the show one day, I better start taking notes from this kid!!

  • @MrYankeesforlife how cool do you feel hatin on a 9 yr old

  • @xxCouturexx13 im 10 dumbass i was much better than him when i was 9

  • @MrYankeesforlife well arent you fuckin special

  • @xxCouturexx13 wowwww your cool

  • this kid sucks

  • kids amazing

  • all nine years r this good... they throw 40 miles an hour... he has so much reaction time

  • he changed mitts

  • Comment removed

  • number 2 dads talking in mexican saying make a home run i will buy you some taco bell btw fuck you catcher fag

  • Is the pitcher throwing alot of off-speed stuff? It looks as though he is based on the number of balls in the dirt. I think kids of 9 - 10 years old are too young to throw alot of curve balls and sliders - it puts alot of strain on their elbow. They should focus on a fast ball with good location and an off-speed pitch.

  • This kid has very good technique - he has probably received good coaching. Hopefully, he continues to grow physically and then he can dominate.

  • listen he is a beast he has a natural form and a triffic coach !

  • The 9 year olds stealing are probably like wtf

  • wtf this kids crazy whoever taught this kid did a great job hes gonna b raw when hes older

  • harder then you think , bud ;p

  • he has a lot of potential , but i just have to say blocking a ball on the ground is way harder in softball because of the different ways of pitching .

  • @breezy575757

    Lololol, softball.

  • Good boy!! I play fast pitch softball, and I'm pretty sure I could take notes from this kid!!

  • kid looks like me catching

  • best 9 year old alive

  • your catchin 39 im catchin 58 at my first game

  • #5. switch hitter at 9 and "hits theball hard." whatta G

  • He´s good but really needs to bend over the ball when it comes to block. Would be sad if he gets knocked out by a ball.

  • Im 11, and I can block quite well. its just my throw to second doesnt get to the base in time though, thats my weakness.

  • 1:07 Some pretty tubby kids for a 9 year old league

  • Hes gonna get hurt by keeping his head up....ehhh

  • Damn

  • his heads up when he blocks. id really hate to see this kid get hurt hes good. plz get him into the habbit of keeping the head down

  • dude im 14 and started catching at 9 and didnt learn how to block till i was 12 man this kids a stud if he sticks with it he will be pro

  • @CydiaHELPER02 thats a very untrue statement... ive been blocking since i was 9 as well but im not sure if im going to be a pro. just because you can block doesnt make you pro material... u have to be mentally smart have a outstanding arm and awarness. look at bryce harper he was a catching prospect and he didnt make it as a catcher

  • @jacob12721 what you said was true, but bryce harper did make it as a catcher, but he is such a good hitter they are making him into an outfielder so he can last longer in the MLB and focus on hitting more.

  • @xtoef makes sense. you dont see a 16 year old hitting 500ft homers everyday lol

  • im ten and cant block shit

  • i didn't learn how to block til i was in high school lol.

  • 9u club ball idiot you are allowed to

  • how is he nine when the kids are using bats with a 2 and 5/8 barrel

  • there should be no critisism of a 9 year old who blocks with great form, he looks like a major leauger when trying to block. kids got a great future.

  • that first pitch that kid had a very good stance. Butt up, and hand behind glove. Whoever taught this kid fundamentals did a very good job.

  • @greendayguycy

    1st greenday sucks!!!

2nd he is probably better than you were than you were nine

3rd hes 9 most 9yr olds are not all that great

    4th do you even catch

5th find better music than greenday crap they suck

  • mexican dad screaming

  • better then joe mauer watch

  • This kid is going to be a beast.

  • Awesome, i dont think i could block that well when I was nine and I was drafted in the 2nd round by the M's in the 2010 draft. You are on the right track keep working hard and practicing. One tip: instead of falling on your knees, replace your knees with your feet. This better deadens the ball and prevents it from going too far.

  • im also a cathcher ..im 12 years old and when i have to make a play at the plate i get in front of the baselin of the runner and use my left leag to block the plate to ensure no chane that the runer will be safe .....this kid is goood enough to try it

  • @snowboarder3482 if your in the baseline the runner has the right to run you over if you dont have the ball, what ive been coached my whole life (torii hunters team) is stand infront of the plate and let them have it as the ball gets closer you then step infront of the baseline and put your knee through him

  • I'm a softball catcher and I personally don't like knee aids, but they're not for lazy catchers they're for support. And this kid can bring the heat!

  • @WannabeJockey im a catcher also, i love knee aids. btw, cant be hattin on them, they come in handy when you play tournaments and the temperature is 100 degrees!

  • Respond to this video... But, i do agree, i dont use them most of the time, but when i do have them, i enjoy them.. i have my own gear but sometimes the snaps break and i have to my other teammates pair and hers dont have them..

  • This kid has great skills for a 9 year old, his coaches did a great job! He has the reactions down to instinct in his response...that's so cool to see in a kid so young.

  • 3 people got kicked out of the dugout

  • this kid is almost as good as me, and i have 4 years on him!

  • Hes better at blocking than some 14 yr olds i know haha

  • those knee aids don't help.

  • @therealjane12345678 knee aids do help i know im a catcher for 10u baseball

  • @trutonerob knee aids are for lazy catchers.

  • @trutonerob plus if you look at catchers in major league, they don't use them..

  • @therealjane12345678 ma jor leaugers use them knee aids save your knees and keep them from going bad i f ididnt use them my knees would be bad by the time im 12-15 years old cause i hind catch every game every inning

  • @trutonerob ive been catching since i was 5 and im 15 and i dont have bad knees, so clearly you're wrong..

  • this kid is dirty for 9 years old

  • baseball looks like such a theatrical game

  • he's pretty good especially at 9 years old

  • i am a catcher and the things i struggle with this catcher pefects them and im 4 years older than him props kid

  • Ahahahah, whata shitty pitcher

  • thats at vista park right??

  • boo

  • an awesome catcher and awful pitcher :P

  • Textbook.

  • dude tis kids a beast ......i think i need to take notes.....great job!

  • lol he thinks hes a pro.

  • @TheFearlass he is

  • @meestachao400 he sure as hell isnt. i pwn him. you suck most likely.

  • @TheFearlass he may be only 9 years old, but boy does he give you the best handies youe ever felt. from a boy whos been on this heere planet for just 9 years, hes a pro. dammn he reallly knows how to work yuh.

  • HE'S A BEAST!!!

  • @Xodiac74 dude hes more agresive than me and im 22 :/ xD

  • wow best of luck to this kid he has incredible talent

  • @GameDayGarrett you probably dont even play baseball and if you do your not on a world series team and there isnt even a world series team in any league

  • promise to video him when he starts varsity as a freshman

  • Awesome job!

  • it doesnt matter if u have ur helmet on or off you can see the ball well both ways

this kid is really good for a 9U jake P. remember catcher is a rare breed

  • This kid is awsome

  • this kid is legit

  • dont take your helemt off every block it waste time

  • @ltcavs09 not really because if your running to the ball u want to throw it off when yourrnning so u can ce the ball. I DONT THINK U PLAYED CATCHER RIGHT

  • @MrBeastunleashed11 i actually play catcher for my 13u team and i am our starter. it actually doesnt matter if you take it off or not whatever you want i keep it on because ican throw just as well with it on and can good

  • dont take your helemt off every block waste time

  • Great job just one thing at 1:44 you show the ump the ball with your bare hand try to keep it in the glove some umps will think u just picked it up off the ground but great job.

  • the only thing that i dont like about this catcher is that his hand is right next to the glove right before he throws down its a good idea but he runs the risk of hurting it but thats my opinion other than this kid is a stud

  • just a tip wen he blocks get him to put his throwing hand behind his glove when he goes down. and use the "tripod" to recover quicker. the tripod is basically when getting out of the blocking position laying ur glove open face down on the dirt and putting ur throwing hand on top of it and swinging your legs around so u get out farther and then u take one shuffle to the bal;l ( depending on how far it bounced) and then from there u have good momentum going twoards the base

  • @jacob12721 (contiuning on from last status) from that u have a less chance of hurting ur arm bc ur not using your whole arm and ull be more likley to make a better throw. if u want i can make a video for you showing you how to use the tripod after blocking

  • I hope this kid doesn't blow out his knees like me and can't play catcher as much

  • At 1:06 Hey dad Mike get out of the dugout. LOL

  • What a stud!

  • Damn he is good

  • if u pay attention fathers play more then kids kids are just like meh! its a game parents take this shit serious!

  • Good job! Be careful, sometimes (towards the end) he doesn't keep his right hand behind his back. Wish we could of seen him throw.

  • @949galaxy yeah i get what your saying but in the upper levels they train you to make a fist behind your glove when a runners on base so if the runner steels it makes for a faster through.he was taught this trick to prepare for the future.

  • @DEADONPREDATOR I learn something new everyday. There must be a time when a catcher has to stop though, right? My son catches 1 inning a game, so, this I will have to show him.

    Thanks for informing me!

  • @949galaxy yeah when i play catcher i only play 2 innings then the other catcher comes in

  • Looks great for 9. Good blocking skills. Keep it up kid...

  • dam kid u r good i bet u take steroids

  • ive seen good catchers before and hes one of them hes very active and very instinctive if you watch he takes off his helmet while geetting up in 1 fluid motion

  • Hey dad..

Mike get out of the dugout!

  • great lookin kid.. I would only remind him to get that free hand back out of the way. seen alot of hands and fingers broken leaving it out like that.

  • this kid is good

  • BEASTIN'!!! :)

    That kid will go pro!

  • @bigrebel22 Do you think anybody gives a shit if your the best on your team? Are you on this kids team? No. The video is about the kid. The kid is good, stop trying to make yourself sound cool by saying that your better then a 9 year old. Hope you feel good about yourself. "Winner".

  • You're a really good catcher, but I'm the best on my team.

  • This kid is a MONSTER!!

  • IS THAT JAKE PHUNSTIEN im not sure if thts how u spell it but we went to kinder garden together???

  • this pitcher must not be very good

  • that kid is pretty good.

  • is that at vista park?? and that loooks like will the blue

  • is that at vista park??

  • "hey dad"

"get my kid outta the dugout"

    At least say hi back

  • Nice grab up high he misses a few right at his chest tho.

  • Comment removed

  • Very nice. This kids got a future in baseball for sure.

  • Hammer Typ!

  • Im 10 Year Old Im A cAtcher

  • why did he switch mitts

  • thats good training really good need to learn a lil more how to set his feet to throw and to receive the ball. overall really good happy to see that!!

  • nope the next Buster Posey... great job..... i just notice sometimes he tends to leave his right arm exposed to much but he will learn ....great video

  • @djdmac85 Catchers shouldn't move the hand behind their back. If you watch MLB, you'll see how they move it where they want to keep themselves balanced. It's all about how you want to feel most comfortable with.

  • his good

  • Only thing I see wrong is that he didn't go out and kick his pitcher in the butt. Looks like blocking practice (and he's a wall back there).

  • hes 9....

  • I was a good catcher as a kid but that young man is fantastic.

  • i play catcher keep it up kid

  • why doesn't he ask for signals

  • This young nine year old catcher looks like he has a lot of excellent catching talent.

Have someone make sure he protects his right hand from exposure to injury from the ball on every pitched ball. Have his elbow go back and up to shoulder height bringing ball in hand out of glove up and around in a short quick circular movement and fire his fore arm and wrist forward towards his target, many throwers do not get the elbow, fore arm and wrist into their throwing movement.

    kom_ervin@yahoo.com

  • nice he is good im 11 and do a little bit more but WOW

  • @smc1298 Sure you do buddy.

  • @IIKeRsEyII ok i will make a video and prove it

  • this kid is like a 1 year younger me

  • @djshortfilms

then your also a kid lol

  • @FearTheFrog5 The kid is NINE! douchebag

  • This guy is actaully really good. i have to say i am liking his allstar gear,

  • he frames the ball nice too
