Why would He give them the authority if He didn't want them to use it. John 20:23, "And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit. @QUADGUY2009 You need to read the Bible, and not just the parts that support your theology. Jesus gave the Apostles, and their successors, the authority to forgive sins. Why would He give them the authority if He didn't want them to use it. John 20:23, "And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.'" Sounds pretty authoritative to me.

There's no "person" who made this video. It belongs to a comedy show on Spain. It's called "Vaya semanita", it basically parodies anything: political, social, legal and as we see, even religious issues. The most common jokes are about the people who live in Euskadi.

This has to be one of the most hilarious videos I have ever seen. The confessor is quite good at acting. It is a clever script. I am a Roman Catholic and this video certainly is not suggesting anything detrimental or without respect for the Church. We need to laugh more in this life of strife and sadness.

hi chapels. howdy! if you ever make it to the chicago area, come visit the church where i serve and I will introduce you to the great community we have here. next sunday, we have this thing called MEN IN BLACK where I invited some of my fellow priests to answer questions about the Catholic faith. You do not know me yet, so I do not know if it is fair to say that i am not a very good priest. I try my best, though. At least we're in agreement that this video is really funny. :)

oh i see, i'm on vacation right now in boracay for i'll be assigned in wyoming soon. three of us were selected to go there as we try to create a "sister diocese" with the diocese of cheyenne in wyoming. my previous parish, that is, Miraculous Medal, in Don Salvador Benedicto, is actually 47 kms from bacolod, 2,400ft abouve see level! We're on the eastern side of the island of negros, facing cebu.
