  • @octane89j dumbass they didn't have the 420a in the 90-94 models . let me break it down for u, 1.8 sohc 92hp 4g37, 2.0dohc 135hp 4g63, 2.0dohc turbo 195hp 4g63T.

  • @hardope705 YEAH THE VR4 GALANT WAS THE ONLY GALANT IN ITS CLASS WIT THE 4G63T,THE 3000GTs neva had the 4g63t only a v6 while the vr43000gt had the turbo charged v6,and the sebrings had the 420a from the 2nd generation eclipse rs and the neon rt also had the 420a

  • @ooikwf yea the V6 was the 6g, which my sebring has. Well the sebring has a 2.5l stock instead of a the 3.0l like the 3000, but you can pull a 3 out of a 2001 and put the 3000 internals.

  • @ooikwf Nah you dont lol. If you had to do a full build just to get 380hp you have no idea wtf you are doing. My 96 GST made 440hp with just bolt ons on 23psi stock head gasket stock head bolts even stock cams tuned on DSM link v2. Get your head out of your ass

  • Who said it was a Sports Car? I've had Talon TSIs and Eclipse GSXs. The GVR4 was my favorite.

  • i had the 89 galant... had the 4g63 2.0 SOHC... it broke down on me EVERY WEEK... but i drove it hard... it was my first car... i did fix and change everything on it... not aftermarket but OEM... after 2 years that car ran GREAT ! well once everything was changed... but i had a blast with that car... rollin a 91 tercel with4E swap... savin for that turbo... anyway mad props on the car...  i can dig it...

  • go look up the 91 ecplise... EVERYTHING will swap over... i had the 89 galant with the 4g63 SOHC... but you need to keep that motor... its a good one and strong if you keep up the fluids and change them... but the suspension will swap for a coilover set... even a 4 wheel disk brake system will work... i had high hopes for mine but sold it for a street bike... wish i never would have done that....

  • $700? thats a bargain, you should definitely do it, i paid $1100 for a galant GL, not a Vr4 and im pretty disapointed i didnt get a VR4 those things are beasty as hell

  • It idles so low it makes a lowd rumbling sound after the crank pully wears out. It kinda sounds good but it shacks your car apart. What do you drive?

  • well im about to trade off my 81 mazda for a 93 eagle talon which is the same as a 1990 - 1994 mitsubishi eclipse the talon has a 4g37 engine in it and its 5 speed =] ill be driving it into the ground and swapping to 4g63 and my gf drives a talon too lol we all love dsm around here

  • yeah i wish i could find the tsi awd i wouldnt care if it was turbo or n/a but around here in nashville its hard to even find the base model 4g37 single cam

    so im going with the dl which is that very one the base model single cam 4g37 and swapping to the twin cam down the road and will most likely rebuild the rear end and make it a tsi n/a awd

  • go with forced performance 272 cams. gets rid of a little bit of low end power but makes up for it big on the high end. that is what I have in my gvr4.

  • nice idle but you can make your 4g63 sound like that buy removing you balance shaft belt and advancing you exaust cam a tooth

  • The difference is the 272's make it faster - rather than slower :oP
