Your left hand is perfect, but try putting you right wrist out a tad, put your thumb on the pickup, and try alternating your fingers more it'll make it sound a little better. I'm not trying to pick on you, just giving some tips. Btw, I like the distortion :)
Hi Awhbassplayer, You sound pretty good!! You should hear my band play that song. Vids are in the process. Anyways, listen to my band, No Stars In The Permiter on cdbaby.com and comment too. Keep rockn!!
@GrantMills246 YES IT IS!!! This was my first bass. It's a short scale squier bronco bass. It's really great for begginers. If you are looking for a begginers bass to buy, then here you go! It's only about $120 -$150. And the amp gives it a very bass like sound to it as well. If you are looking for an amp to go with it, get the acoustic b20. ( $140- $170 ) This is the one im using in the video. ( although my video quality isnt too good so you cant experience its full power ).
Great job. You have taken an inexpensive bass and made it soud good (a lot better than what the "showcase a bass" videos have to offer on this model bass). I plan to buy one (black) and replace the stock pick up with a Seymour-Duncan SCR-1N Cool Rail to bring the bass out a little more. Make more videos using this bass. Thanks.

Just a bit of a tip with harder songs...
try using your thumb to mute the string below it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to remember that!

@awhbassplayer As far as i know this is actually considered bad technique, but i do it. It does help.

For your next video, you should try a song by Barry Manilow.
Also, I am requesting that you play George Thorogood's "Get a Haircut and Get a Real Job."
