  • 'next superingeneous plan" LOL who is he kidding? Lex Luthor a former high school metal shop teacher gone terrribly wrong, plans are totally and consistantly wrecked. he is obsessional and incompetent. the legion of doom is supported by C.I.A. funds and they smuggle cocaine into the USA

  • Why doesn't Luthor keep wearing the power ring? He would be even more powerful. Super FOOL.

  • @stargate121 Oh your younger self would be SOOOO ashamed of you asking such a question, as he would know that if Luthor had retained the power ring, he would be susceptible to all that is yellow!

  • Is it possible that they designed this entire episode, so they could use the pun,

    "The Green Luthor"?

  • It would be interesting to follow the defeated Diana.

  • *twitches* WONDAHH WOMANN

  • wonder twin powers activate.

  • I miss cartoons like this. When there was a time we don't question who or why or when for one even to happen. Particularly logic. If you want animated shows that makes sense, u look at Toy Story. When i was a kid we just watched and enjoyed them like forever till today. Once u start questioning the logic of events in cartoons, that means you have outgrown cartoons. Don't watch and then tell us how we should enjoy it. Enjoying cartoons means not crossing them with real world.

  • geez everyone knows you get rid of batman first.

  • Superfriends is the shit

  • Kangaroo horses at 4:18? That's a new one.

  • I found yet another flaw on this story, with no Superman, there is no Bizarro, and Luthor s origin would be totally altered.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Not necessarily. Just because Superman never made it to Earth, doesn't mean that others from Krypton didn't seek out life on earth and become super men. Hence Bizarro could have been made from their image.

  • @ReturnofLatinPupE You have a valid point, but without Superman I dont see Bizarro. It could be other copies , from Kriptonian Bad guys , like Zod or Faora, and Luthor would ve never become a villain.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer It may not be the same Bizarro, but it would more than likely be a similar likeness. If it were copies of Krytonian bad guys, then Bizarro would be good. Remember, he is the opposite of Superman.

  • @ReturnofLatinPupE Well they cna always make a Bizarro Supergirl. Anyway I see it Luthor just doesnt appear on the equation. Every time you mess up with time only a little repcersussions are enormous. Remember that old ray Baradbury Story " A distant Tuhnder" or even" Back to the Future". I think this story was fun but stupid Luthor erased Superman, and himself. If you let that pass away you can have a nice time. The story is totall y inconsistent though. Be well.

  • @ReturnofLatinPupE If I'm not mistaken, Bizarro is indeed a faulty replica of Kal-El. Thus, the Bizarro we all know and love wouldn't exist.

  • @ReturnofLatinPupE Luthor became evil (based on his Silver Age origin), because Superboy put out a chemical fire, thus causing chemicals to land on Luthor's head. This caused his hair to fall out, and Luthor hated him for it (it, also, likely caused some sort of brain damage, since LL was Superboy's friend, prior to). No Superboy, no evil LL. Also, no Bizzaro, because nothing to duplicate. Far too many flaws in this story, although fun it is.

  • @kyokogodai You are too quick to think that just because they altered the space/time continuum, this automatically alters destiny. Lex was destined to be evil and Bizarro was destined to be created, whether it be by a duplicate of Superman or another Krytonion that came to Earth. This scenario is depicted eloquently in Back to the Future, where Marty McFly changed the space/time continuum by getting hit by the car and rescued by his grandfather instead of George McFly. The destiny is the same.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Unless Luthor used his non time altering device on both him and bizzaro. It's a reach but the guy is pretty smart and probably took that into consideration.

  • If they can go back in time, they should just be able to take each one of them out when they're on solo missions.

  • Shouldn't Hippolyta be suspicious of that mask-wearing Amazon?

If these three heroes are wiped out of existence, why does the Legion of Doom remember them?

  • wouldn't sinistro still be a green lantern as well

  • Cthu!!! @ "The Green Luthor."

  • @BigPhil731 funny but even that scene shuold have happened. You have to be worthy and fearless to command the ring, Luthor could never wear it.

  • That is so dumb! the rings of the GL corps have no effect over the color Yellow and the flight simulator is yellow

  • @MrOliverGWR11 No it's not, it's bronze.

  • @MrOliverGWR11 my gripe was with the fact that Lex Luthor was even able to operate the power ring. It should have known he wasn't the right guy.

  • Just be easier to time travel to, let's say, the mid 1880's and take over the world before there were ANY superheroes.

  • Cheetah looks better with Wonder Womans suit.......and OMG, that horrible suit again 5:36!!

  • This. Is. Hilarious.

  • They'd still lose, because the Superfriends still have Batman :3

  • Wonder Woman is suppose to be 70 today according to this show.

  • Batman: It's the legion of Doom! Scarecrow, Luthor ... wait, what is THAT ...?

Bizarro: Me Bizarro. Me imperfect clone of Superman!

    Batman: Super ... who?

Bizarro: Superman! Me clone of him! Luthor create me with Bizarro ray!

Batman: Clone of ... what? Why do you have a backwards S on your chest?

Luthor: The heck with it. Lets just go back in time and make billions off the stock market instead!

  • Grodd: Erm...Luthor, How will erasing Superman Wonder Woman and Green Lantern from time insure that the rest of the Justice League won't exist?

Riddler: We'd still have to worry about Batman the Flash an Martian Manhunter

Bizarro: And Bizarro am clone of Superman. What happen to Bizarro of no Superman?

Brainiac: There also the serious implication that manipulating history using time travel. Such actions could create paradoxes that destroy reality as we know it...

    Luthor: OH SHUT UP!

  • would have made an interesting moral dilemma if luthor had prevented superman from existing by saving krypton and then therefore batman would have to destroy it in order to have superman exist

  • @btsouri8 That is friggin awsume!

  • @btsouri8 Only one flaw there. By destroying Krypton, Batman would wipe out all of it's population, except for Superman of course. And we all know that Batman can't kill.

  • @TheMarvelousDC exactly it would be interesting to see what he would do in such a situation since he can't kill

  • should not the green energy sense the evil of LUTHOR and have rejected him lol?

  • Scarecrow: "Oh no! Its the Green Lantern!

Lex Luthor: "No fools, its only me the Green Luthor"!

  • Good episode but serious plot points. Wouldn't Queen Hippolyta recognize her people to see that there is a stranger among them she has never seen?

  • MEANWHILE... IN THE PRESENT

    YOU HEARD ME

  • Statistically speaking, by eliminating Superman, Bizarro wouldn't exist either, because he's technically Superman from an opposite dimension.

  • @Pinhead554

You do realize that Lex Luthor's origin story here tells how he's actually pissed at Superman for a screw up that made him bald in the first place, right?

    Yeah, Time Paradox.

  • Real trick question? Since Jesus Christ is the real superhero?? Who would go back in time to stop the sacrifice of the cross??? Hmmmmm......

  • @charliecaptain no, Superman is better than Jesus, he saves people and doesnt expect anything in return

  • Shouldnt bizarro dissapear the moment superman did since he his a clone of superman

  • @darthmeyers074

And let's not forget about Lex's origin here.

  • Interestinmg how Luthor just tossed the ring aside and found no use for it.

  • 7:47 "Why are you cackling maniacally like that?"

Ha ha... they should have known something was up. "Hawkman Day" indeed!

  • Comment removed

  • Isn't Cheetah just Catwoman in a different colored suit?

  • Ohh now its the green lantern........NO FOOLS, IT ONLY ME THE GREEN LUTHOR.

  • lol the green luthor

  • I like watching these, but the dialogue is hilarious beyond beleif one could fall over laughing at the stupidity-and that can be fun. It's still good story but told in King James's retarded 8 year-old son of a prisoner writing the bible.

  • This is fucking stupid, they mix greek with roman mythology.

  • @NEBESHIKU The Romans co-opted a lot of Greek culture, including their gods and goddeses

  • @jamusthebartender true, but venus and aphrodite are not the same.

  • all they have to do is travel through time, why doesnt every super villian think of that

  • oh wait never mind...........O_o

  • where is she naked?

  • I can't believe they showed Wonder Woman naked in a cartoon.

  • love it sniff sniff

  • superkool

  • wouldnt bizarro disappeared to since he was a duplicate of superman

  • @Javajunkie67 In stories like this the people who are in the time travel devices are protected from the changes.

  • This is a good video. It shows children and Adults alike, that all people are important to each others lives. We all need another and their is an empty hole, when one of us is not around.

  • Cool.

  • Luthor's ship looks like Darth Vader's breather.

  • Well, if there is not Superman, it wouldn't be a Bizarro

  • @adalany2009

    Or evil Luthor.

  • I didn't like how Queen Hippolyta tried to choose Diana's life FOR her. She knew her daughter was the best and wanted to go to "Man's World". Sooner or later, children grow up and parents have to let them go.

  • "You will have power over EVERYTHING except that.. which is yellow.."

"Yellow? Are you kidding me? What crap you trying to dump on me, buddy!?"

  • wouldn't getting rid of superman also get rid of bizzaro too ?

  • kwolf43, anything's possible.

  • I love how Luthor just says, "THREE of the Superfriends!" Why not them all?! Why not go back in time and save Bruce Wayne's parents? Or tell Barry Allen not to go to the office that day? Or buy Black Vulcan a pair of pants?

  • BlackMoonLilith, the story could have been written in other ways, but the creators and writers chose the ones with REAL powers.

  • The Green Luthor *LOL*

  • Is Darth Vader's head modeled after the Legion of Doom ship or vice-verse?

  • This is actually good idea. The execution is weird (it was the 70s) but I like the idea. I think it would be cool to revisit this plot in this century, properly exploring the effects of time travel on the characters and the world

  • @Makiruz

Time travel was explored in JL. Green Lanterns are basically immune to origin story changing shenanigans, John Stewart having used his ring to prevent himself or the JL besides Batman, who wasn't there at the time, from being affected by a timeline change.

  • 8:00 - "Ooohh Noohh - Its the Green Lantern !" Man that was hilarious ! Mr. Scarecrow, for someone whose forte is invoking fear in OTHERS, you sure were a pussy just then !

  • Here's something not sure anyone else has mentione...the legion knows Green Lantern is Hal Jordan????? Isn't that kind of a secret?

  • If the Legion of Doom can develop technology that allows them to travel anywhere in time and space within a few seconds, how could the Superfriends possibly pose any threat? And why the hell would they even care about taking over 20th century Earth?

  • Unless being out of the time-line, wouldn't the changes effect the Legion, too. Taking Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern away would also take away, Luthor, Bizarro, Cheatah, and Sinestro.

  • bad....voice....act...ing....is....ba...d

  • this is so gay...........i mean poor ppl who watched this crap

  • @TeKnO2BaEr Then you are one of those people who watches todays' lame cartoons. What a joke you turned out to be!!!! hahahah!!!!

  • @Sweetmervs no i9 meant is an the quality sucks so much they talk like explaining it everything to little kids and alot of ppl sound the same and today cartoons are ehhh but the 90s are the shit as in the best......

  • @TeKnO2BaEr Ok, i got what you were saying. But why would you say this is so gay, and telling us poor people people who watch this crap? Are you telling me that is not a good cartoon?

  • @Sweetmervs pretty much..........

  • TeKnO2BaEr, why do some people think everything is gay?

  • @LisaK7100 this crap is but nothing everything.....well certainly not me.......lol....

  • TeKnO2BaEr, why do some people think everything is gay?

  • why is sinestro still his self and not a green lantern

  • If superman didn't exist, then bizarro wouldn't exist.

  • kinda funny how Luthor contradicts himself (obviously, it was the writers' fault)... here's what i mean:

at 1:11 Luthor said: "I've RECENTLY discovered the secret origins of Wonder Woman.....blah blah blah...."

but then again at 3:36 Luthor said: "...IN HISTORY AS WE KNOW IT, Diana won the tournament....blah blah blah"....

i don't know which is which hahaha :-)

  • this is my favorite episode ng superfriends

  • Ever notice how the Legion of Doom's headquarters looks kinda like Darth Vader's helmet?

  • @Thoralmir

I was just wondering about the same thing.

  • @Thoralmir Maybe Luthor idolizes Darth Vader? What do you think?

  • The Green Luthor. *L*

  • OMG KANGAROO-HORSE! What is with that cheetah girl's accent?

  • Now these are "Real" cartoons!.....I've always loved Superfriends!.......Especially the ones involving the "Legion Of Doom!".........Where the Superfriends would fight their evil counterparts......For example, Superman vs Bizarro, Wonder Woman vs Cheetah, Green Lantern vs Sinestro, Batman vs ScareCrow, etc. etc.

  • QUICK, HAL JORDAN...GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN! @ 7:14 EVIL AND INJUSTICE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME! @ 7:47!

  • Luthor is so funny!!

  • classic and classy scene Luthor sitting HIGH on hsi "throne" who is Luthor's Voice, Franke Welkner or Walker Edminston. I'd guess either.

  • @fucheduck oh, nevermind, my audiogrphic bat hearing knows this, it's Olin Suelet!

  • @fucheduck Luthor was voiced by Stanley Jones.

  • WOnderwoman more of a threat than Batman?

Wonderwoman who, in this cartoon needs CONSTANT saving when shes tries to do anything on her own and can't even beat 3 ordinary civlians?

than batman how can whip out a device from his belt and null just about any problem the plot requires? Batman, the brains of hte justice league?

I can tolerate most of the plot holes (cheesy silver age kids cartoon, what do you expect?) but this....

  • this is classic lol

  • If you people took life as seriously as you do DC and Marvel, you would learn a thing or two about the real world...like yourselves.

  • You'd think that the amazons wouldn't recognize cheetah and wonder who the hell she is.

  • MLKKAEFEnterprises, I thought Queen Hippolyta was supposed to know everybody. How could she not notice Cheetah?

  • 5:52 - Heh. I loved how Robin's R would randomly disappear, switch to the other side of his tunic, and change colors.

  • SoundsmithOne, as Dick Grayson, he and his parents were the Flying Graysons in the circus, and his parents were killed. If Batman didn't exist, there was really no way to know if he would have become his own super hero.

  • Why does an evil plan require immediate laughter?

  • I agree with Superman and Green Lantern being 2 of the 3 most powerful Superfriends...but Wonder Woman?, PLEASE!

  • @eastwood13 Yeah. She has a truth lasso and can block laser beams. Plus she has an invisible plane but she it still visible. They only made her a Superfriend as a Supergroupie!

  • kennedy78757, really? She's stronger than Hercules, faster than Mercury, and wise as Athena.

  • this was my fav episode of all time. wait. no. my FAVORITE CARTOON OF ALL TIME!

  • the island of the lesbian ! It is creepy

  • criceto, the Amazons are NOT lesbians! Hercules them and Queen Hippolyta prisoner and made them slaves! Aphrodite helped them free themselves and leave "Man's World".

  • The funny this is during the weekdays, I don't want to get up at all. When it is Saturday morning, I am at up wide eye at 6 a.m. Those were the days.

  • If Luthor's a Lantern now, will Sinestro still be a Green Lantern since Hal Jordan was responsible for booting him out of the Corps?

Luthor: I'm back! Check out my bli...Sinestro!? What are you doing and why are you wearing a Green Lantern costume?

Sinestro: I've always been a Green Lantern and you're under arrest for corruption and other crimes against the Guardians. Hand over your ring or face the consequences!

Luthor: NO! YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!! IT'S MIIIINE!!!

  • @drixg555 time doesnt effect sinestro cuz hes currently outside the time stream.

  • @drixg555

    Remember, this is pre-crisis.

  • @drixg555 Sinestro needs a haircut!!!

07:23 HJ:....what the hell are you doing

    07:27 HJ:....I need a vaction

  • shouldn't Bizarro have disappeared since Superman never existed? just sayin'

  • knytrydr73, Bizarro is Superman's backwards counterpart, so he's on a different timeline.

  • @LisaK7100 : yeah, I know that! *L* I forgot that when you are traveling through time, changes in the timeline don;t affect you! ;)

  • knytrydr73, that depends on which timeline it is and whether or not you're part of it.

  • Yesterday (saturday) I got up at 6:30am to finish leftoever work from friday and I had bowl of my kids fav cereal "Cap'n Crunch" . I then tuned into youtube to watch "secret origins of superfriends" --just like old times !! lol

  • Where did Luthor get video footage of their origins?! And the hall of doom arrived just offshore of Paradise Island and just waited and watched for, like, 25 years for Diana to become an adult?!

The directors who worked on Super Friends must've been too busy getting high to actually do their jobs!

  • 'Take this green battery and you'll have power over everything except that which is yellow'.................FAIL!! XD

  • In this new future, Luthor gets the yellow ring after Sinestro exposes his corrupt acts (and boundless greed), causing him to be booted out of the GL Corps and exiled to Qward.

Sinestro becomes the greatest GL of them all and leads the Corps against the fear-powered, yellow ring-wielding Lex Luthor Corps.

Either that or Lex Luthor encounters Larfleeze and steals his ring & lantern, becoming the greediest mofo in the universe.

  • 3:55, apparently Cheetah is a cougar.

  • hameron, I thought Cheetah was a leopard.

  • @LisaK7100 Well, cougar in the modern slang sense of the word. :p

  • @hameron LOL

  • 3:50, so the Legion sat around watching for years until Diana grew up?

    5:00, pwned!

  • Okay, the green energy beam grabbed the simulator because Hal Jordan in it. Hal was chosen by the power ring because he was worthy. So think about this, when Hal Jordan jumped out, and Lex Luthor got in, wouldn't the green energy beam still have gone after Hal Jordan anyway, since it was him who was chosen?

  • @pyrogyra72 No, the energy beam locked on to the location of the person worthy of the power. Since Luthor interrupted the time/space continuum, he took Hal Jordan's place while the energy beam was locked in the fixed location.

  • @ReturnofLatinPupE , that question crossed my mind. the energy beam searched for a honest and worthy man.. Luthor is not honest or worthy. so taking Hal Jorden's place should not have worked. the beam should have still gone after Hall Jorden. Jorden at the time just happen to be in Simulator when it surounded him.

  • @pyrogyra72 In the original continuity I think it just grabbed the simulator.

  • @pyrogyra72 You gotta point! But this is a kids' cartoon; those little things just don't add into their [kids] minds at the time.

  • @Fymious Excellent point.

  • well, looks like we lost WWII! d'oh!

  • In the comics, there are parallel universes...a multiverse. Bizarro was from another earth. Luthor existed before Superman caused his hair to fall out. He became the Green Luthor...recall the comment...."Evil and justice will never be the same." Without Superman or Superboy around, crime would've ruled smallville. As for Sinestro and OA, you should look it up on the world wide web.

  • @lawmancpa I understand about the parallel universes, and I understand about Bizarro from another earth. I think that what I and maybe also cjv84us are saying is that yes Luthor did exist with or without Superboy/Superman. However, had Superboy not blown Luthor's lab, Luthor would not have been a bad guy. We understand about Luthor becoming the "Green Luthor", but he w/n/h/b a bad guy. without Superboy. Thanks

  • @lawmancpa Bizarrro was an imperfect clone of Superman, so no Superman, no Bizarro.

  • @Originalman320 Just because Superman was gone in the current universe, doesn't mean he was gone in the parallel universes of these comics.

  • Ok this REALLY doesn't make any sense. If superman never lands on earth, Bizzaro and this current form of Lex Luthor won't exist. When Superman was Superboy, he accidentally caused Lex to lose his hair, making Lex his ultimate enemy. And of course I'm amusing this Bizzaro is a clone of Superman. Unless this Bizzaro is from Earth-0 (a parallel world of Earth1, in which Bizzaro versions of everybody exist), and not from Bizzaro World (aka,Htrae), theres no way he can exist. This all wrong.

  • @cjv84us you missed what happened to green lantern....Luthor became green lantern....the green Luthor. Bizarro is from the parallel earth.

  • It's funny how we can analyze this as adults, lol but if you get rid of S-man, WW and GL, you also, like someone said, get rid of Bizarro because he can only exist due to Superman. You also get rid of Luthor because, if there's no S-Man, then there wasn't anybody that accidently spilled acid or something on Luthor's non hair growing head. lol You also get rid of Sinestro. The only ones with power in the L-O-D are Bizarro, Sinestro, & Grod, so the L-O-D would also be decreased. Just a thought.

  • @Beautifulmusiclistnr ...Hey, you forgot about Solomon Grundy!...He was also strong and powerful...Personally, my favorite villian of all-time!

  • @ekaras55 You are correct! I failed to include Solomon Grundy in there as one of the stronger members of the LOD, and I thought he was cool also! I always liked how he'd talk about himself and say "Solomon Grundy.....".

  • @Beautifulmusiclistnr ...Yeah, that was one of Grundy's characteristics that made him so endearing besides his super strength!..The fact that he always talked in first person and always referered to himself and top that off with his "southern, cajun" type of accent it made him the ultimate kick ass villian!!...LOL!

  • @ekaras55 I like how Grundy says at the beginning of this video "Black Manta keep quiet. Let Luthor (but it sounded like Luther) speak". Grundy talking first person reminds me of how Carol Burnett would speak first person whenever she played the character the Queen of England. I always got a kick out of that. I never paid much attention to his voice, but it really adds to his character.

  • @Beautifulmusiclistnr Luthor became the "Green Luthor." You do not get rid of Sinestro. Planet OA still existed and Sinestro was a product of OA banning him to Qward.

  • @lawmancpa I see that Luthor became the "Green Luthor", but as has been mentioned, if there's no Superman, there's no Bizarro, and no Luthor (Green or otherwise! ) because Superboy would not have blown Luthor's lab and caused him to go bald. I never knew much about Sinestro until I saw the LOD, and I'm not familiar with Planet OA or him getting banned to Qward. Did you go to Super U when you attended college? lol I was wondering how you knew so much about Sinestro.

  • @lawmancpa , it reminds me of if Kojack was the green luthor!

  • no super man would also mean no bizarro.. and no legion of doom
