i was waching this vidio wail make list fore a game.. thourth about using my secund necron lord like the one on food is used here BUT...
Vail of Darkness: 60 pts. Res Orb: 40 pts. Warscyste 10 pts....
he can only get war gear fore 100 pts... sooo theres a littel problem there.. or???
do you count like 1 necron lord whit a upgraded starf of light to a war scyste 110pt's and then still getting 100 pts wargear? i don't think that's how it's done.
@ScobieSongs Yeah hopefully it won't be there in the new 'dex. the only justifiable reason for keeping it was to balance out Gauss possibly one shotting every tank, but with the changes to glancing it just cripples the army too much, especially in combat. Of course Stubborn on units would help with that, but I can't see that being a likely change.
WHY ARE YOU TAKING DISTRUPTION FEILD WITH A WAR SCYTHE!!! the WarS gives you monstrus creature armour penetration, Disruption feild gives you guass in CC. the disruption feild doesn't help in the slightest with a warscythe, use the 10 pts to give 5 of your warriors disruption field so that IF you get charged by a drednought you can maybe sting it a bit
@colorless100 What i meant was take 5 warriors you already have and rather than pay 10pts for the DF on the warscythe lord give each of them disruption field for 2pts per model. this way, in the unlikely event that something like a dreadnought or high tougness monstrous creature gets into cc with that squad you'll have at least something that can, potentially, hurt it.

I was just trying to make the point that you shouldnt give the same Lord both a warscythe and DF since the scythe is a much better anti tank weapon.
I'd make a few tweeks with your list 1x Lord +destroyer body +warscythe +ressurection orb +phylactery +disruption field 4x Heavy Destroyers 1x Lord+Veil of darkness+ressurection orb+warscythe 1x Tomb Spyder+particle projecter 50x Warriors 1x Monolith 10x Scarab Swarms+ Dis. Fields total= 2005 phaseout= 16

@colorless100 You play with a necron army. Necrons are the best tank hunters in warhammer 40k. A few days ago I immobilised a Land Raider and it couldn't shot for the next turn with 12 warriors. YOU DO NOT NEED HEAVY DESTROYERS!!!!
@colorless100 You are wrong. You don't have to destroy a land raider. You can simply immobilise (if it is a reedemer his heavy flamers are wasted) it or make his crew shaken&stunned. And even if you want it this way the particle whip can take out any tank whatsoever with its S9 AP1.

...and farseers etc. are what I face most. point in fact.
@colorless100 Haha yes it isn't mathhammer. Though, on the other hand you make an army list only for one reason; to have more possibilities of winning! You can't depend on luck!
i would highly recommend removing the disruption field from your necron lord with the destroyer body cuz as you yourself qouted was how good the warsycthe upgrade is and from my personal experience with it against a devilfish you dont need the fields the sycthe itself is lethal i wrecked the devilfish with three penetrating hits from the warscythe. all in all though a good army list.
actually it's not as effective. if you have 10 warriors in rapidfire range then that's 20 shots which hit on 3+ and do anything on a 6+. if you have a melee squad then you can be sure that all your attacks will hit (provided the vehicle didn't move), plus if you charge a squad of 5 flayed + lord then that's 13 attacks! also, you are only moving around the field as per deepstrike instead of regular movement. you still get to shoot and assault normally. it's not like coming in from reserve.
but surely thats situational on where they deep strike and whether the vehicle had moved. Wouldnt warriors be more relibale against say eldar tanks and such which will always be on the move. The flayed ones would however be better against say guard or marines
well you can teleport the lord and up to 1 other squad of necrons within 6" (even out of combat), it's up to you what you want to teleport. i still prefer a melee squad to a shooting as not many things in the list have guns good enough to penetrate the armour. it's true that all things glance on a pen roll of a 6 but some do it easier than others. with a squad of warriors it takes much longer to actually do anything compared to a melee squad as the shots have more chance to miss.
A really useful unit is the teleporting lord and flayedones as they can just teleport around behind each of the tanks on the field and carve them open. It REALLY works
read up on it and the WS 10pts is an you may allso (SWEET option >:-) )

A necron lord can be added up to 100 points! The 2nd necron lord has 110 more than its usual (Veil of darkness=60, ressurection orb=40, warscythe=10)

think about it this way: 1 heavy destroyer has more of a chance of destroying a LR (or equivalent in armor) in 1 turn than 12 warriors in 2. :/

surely a unit of 10 warriors would be better to go around with the veil as they can shoot the tanks or whatever turn they deep strike
