It was Stalin who spread most modern Communism across the world, which is unfortunate since Lenin-Marxism/Stalinism is so watered down it is not terribly different from most Republics except it has social benefits. Most of the supporters are Labourers who are in the late 60s and as they begin to lose interest, this causes the JCP (Japanese Communist Party) to lose support. The true glory days of the Communist Party were the 1960s. Now, the younger generation aren't interested in Communism, especially after the failure of the USSR and failure of society within China.

@squathacker i don't know! i'm not a communist but to be honest i've learned about the revolutionary communist movements and revolution implies the use of force. and what lenin said or trotsky or tolstoy really doesn't matter to me because the kind of governments that were influenced by their toughts failed! and afterwards some other communist came and said, it's not like that cause they didn't followed real communism... they made a missguided policy blá blá blá (in the mean time ppl are dying)

the more diverse an economy and political system the better it can run. ideas are as infinite as the universe , time and life itself. theirs no just capitialism and socialism to comunisim. thats a very very narrow view on the spectrum . so many ideas out their. diverse your systems and allow everyone to be fairly repersented and develop their own ideals and yet also respect others ideals. that is my ideal and it is quite possibly workable indeed!

If capitalism is defined as a social system based on individual rights (and individual wealth), then communism is its direct opposite. Communism believes in equality through force. In its system, individual rights are ground to powder and used to build its idol of absolute government control. your views are not set in stone but communism is!

Capitalism is not defined as a system based on individual rights. It's a system based on the boss-worker relationship, private ownership of capital, and wage labor. In -that- instance, Communism is the exact opposite of it. Communism is a system based on common ownership and control of capital.

And finally, we do not want "government control". We want legitimate, working class rule of society, not rule by politicians, bureaucrats, etc. etc. etc.

Are they exploiting the shops by paying a price lower than its supposed "value"? What is true "value" anyway?

@01Ubermensch Exploitation in Marxism refers specifically to the extraction of surplus value from the working class. Value is not the same as price, either. And however you want to look at "value", it's undeniable that workers, through their labor, add value to the raw materials with which they create.

I couldn't care less if the diamond I bought was picked up by an unemployed layabout in a back alley or painstakingly unearthed by a miner in Botswana. Or even a serial paedophile. What counts is that their supply meets my demand. You say workers create from "raw material".How did they attain the raw material?
