Disc Cleanup.first..then setup ChkDsk

Reboot..let ChkDsk do its thing.

Lastly do the Defrag..

Works better that way.

How often should you do this maintenance?

I usually do this maintenance roughly each week (except defrag and disk check). It kinda depends on how often you surf the net and use your PC. I would do a defrag maybe monthly but again depends on how often you use ur PC - Cheers :-)
