As for bathing I'd recommend a calcium rich solution like perhaps milk to precipitate the F out of the water. It will attack your bones so best remove it.

My dentist recommended Pro Crest toothpaste and mouthwash for my sensitive teeth...I was humiliated to find in just 2 weeks the flouride burnt my teeth and I am trying my best to get the stains off which they say will come off..so far they havent, and this video tells me they might not?..Oh wow this makes me very upset as I told them flouride wasn't good from what I'd heard and they assured me it was so I bought it and used it and get a product that actually hurts my teeth? All F causes inflammation so it accelerates gum disease.
Sensitive teeth are a symptom of bad bugs. Kill the bad bugs and make the teeth happy. Iodine will stain teeth but kills bugs very well. Lots of things kill though so pick one that is safe.

Logol's iodine kills well but Povidone does even better. Recently I read where chlorhexadine and alcohol did a wonderful job of disinfection. book described this in detail but has been out of print for some time.
No the drops are generally pharmaceutical grade sodium F tap water is not. Fluoride does nothing beneficial when swallowed. About 66/% of the children given drops get this permanent disfiguring of their permanent teeth from prescription fluoride. It is a shame too because they feel self conscious and it costs money to fix it too.
California claims that dental fluorosis from water fluoridation will cost the state nothing because welfare dentistry doesn't cover cosmetic repair of this injury.
RO is definitely better than drinking just tap water but sadly it is not an efficient way to remove fluoride despite what salesmen may claim. I know of no problem drinking rain water or distilled. You can purchase one of several kinds of distillers on the internet. I prefer all stainless steel so no plastic. You can get one on the counter or even own that sits on the stove. You can purchase one for a bout $500 that is plumbed into the water supply and sits in the garage or some lace outside and makes about 7 gallons a day.
I can't tell you how many companies claim to remove fluoride but I've got the equipment to measure and some do at first but soon fail (alumina, bone char) and others never do (carbon filters).
Have them send you their certified test done at the end of the usable life starting with contaminated

Yes I am absolutely sure. There is some research showing that children in soft water areas have a very slight increase in tooth decay but no other adverse health effects have ever been linked to drinking pure water. However, I have no objection if you want to drink a mineral water that has a low fluoride content. Be aware that many bottled waters are often high in fluoride and unless you demand the actual content they are not required to tell you.

Think about it. Before they invented a shovel and lived a long time ago what did you drink? Rain water in one form or another right. Rain is distilled as Cat Steven's sings "Snowmen sleep in the sea". Oceans evaporate and when it condenses rain falls. Hard water generally comes from wells. Deep wells and thus cavemen are not going to be drinking from a deep well.

Even worse are the filter salesmen who make claims that this filter removes fluoride when it does not even tough it. Carbon does not remove any F. Reverse Osmosis only removes some unless it is the high pressure kind. I've purchased and tested bottled waters that claim to be made with RO that have exactly the same amount of f as the municipal water.

Hydrofluosilicic acid sucks lead from pipes and food into children with a 6 fold increase in Black children with high blood lead levels. Everyone agrees it will harm a baby with fluorosis. That makes it a racist anti family unethical policy
I have been drinking it exclusively for a few months now and no problems. There are some professionals who warn against it calling it "unnatural" and saying that trace amounts of fluoride is normal. I guess they mean naturally occuring fluoride. Maybe I'll just plop a lemon in my distilled water now and then to make it natural :-)
I think fluorosis is very embarasing as well, my case is a little worse then this one, but I have no idea what caused it. I got then polished and covered to help hide the stains, and I also remember being asked about my teeth when I was younger.
The California Department of Health decided in 1986 to include dental fluorosis like you see in this video as an adverse health effect i.e. injury because of the adverse effect it would have on a child's self image.
In our face conscious society no one but the dentists responsible for this injury could look at her teeth and exclaim that they are the most beautiful white teeth ever yet, that is exactly what fluoridation advocates do. They also call it merely a cosmetic effect.
Although both Chlorine and Fluorine are halogens they are vastly different elements. CCl is essential for life and easy to remove from water with a simple carbon filter. F can only be removed with expensive water treatment like distillation. Filters are unreliable as they soon break down. Typical home Reverse Osmosis lets substantial amounts of F through and they too soon break down.

I even had one lady tell me she had "fixed" her own cuspid with a similar problem using her fingernail emery board. It must have been pretty mild as I couldn't even tell from the front where she had polished off the whitish enamel. From the inside with my mirror I saw exactly where she hadn't been able to reach but then no one usually looks inside your mouth except a dentist. I'd avoid veneers if possible. In this video grinding was necessary to take off the poorly done old composite bonding.
The position of the tooth discoloration indicates that tip of the tooth was in the process of forming when you got overdosed with fluoride. Most likely you were given a fluoridated toothpaste or mouth wash at that time which tipped you over the edge to overdose. This can usually be restored to a more natural look by using an abrasive to "polish" off the bright white enamel. Water filters remove no fluoride unless they are specifically designed for fluoride. In that case the filter will contain either calcium hydroxyapatite or alumina. Neither will work for a whole house.

Yes it certainly sounds like it. The portion of the tooth harmed depends on the part being formed when excess exposure to fluoride occurred. The tip of the front teeth begins forming shortly after birth and so it sounds like you were overdosed early in life. This happens routinely if the baby is bottle fed and the formula is made up with tap water. The color of the lesion is not part of the classification as the tooth enamel is porous and can pick up color from food or beverages.
Yes there is a lot you can do but be careful as your teeth are young and grinding away enamel is permanent. You'll need that later.
The edge your teeth wear down over a lifetime so they may wear off. Bleaching with the OTC products seems reasonable for whitening yellowish spots and the enamel all over so the white spots don't stand out.
If you are still not satisfied with these conservative steps you might consider having your dentist polish with a emory disk the surface. That is fairly safe.
Be very careful about how you try to fix this disfiguring disorder. Enamel with fluorosis doesn't bond very well so in treating this with veneers they may fail and then you are wors off. When the tooth has matured sufficiently you should get a well trained dentist to try some selected abrasion fo the enamel to see if that makes the appearance acceptable.
Life is a lot longer than any dental restoration can last so everything you do now will have to be replaced several times over your life.

Very likely caused by excess fluoride while your teeth were forming if the spots were there when the teeth first came in. Fluorosis is the most common reason for tooth disfiguration.

The American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) has not stepped up and agreed with the National Academy of Science (two years later) by acknowledging that water fluoridation will cause dental fluorosis but then tired to minimize the impact by calling the permanent scaring of the enamel "cosmetic".

Doctor, do you feel that a beneficial amount of systemic fluoride exists? How do you feel about it as a topical agent? I feel that you are spreading fear here. It is of course possible that some communities do not control water fluoride levels properly. However, I see a very tiny amount of fluorosis in my practice (in a fluoridated city) and believe that the cavity prevention aspect far outweighs this risk. But then perhaps you don't believe that there is a cavity prevention aspect.
Everyone including the Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association now acknowledge that if fluoride has a beneficial effect on tooth decay the mechanism is entirely topical. There is no reason to dose anyone systemically with fluoride.
Topical is voluntary. I wouldn't recommend it because so much is absorbed and swallowed especially in children.
Fear is not the message. This degree of injury occurred at 0.8 ppm or lower from natural fluoride not even hydrofluosilicic acid.

Yes, distilled water or rain water or even well water if the water has been tested and is free from man made or natural contamination.
The persistent problem is bathing as fluoride absorbs through skin at a very high rate damaging thyroid.

However, I have no objection if you want to drink a mineral water that has a low fluoride content. Be aware that many bottled waters are often high in fluoride and unless you demand the actual content they are not required to tell you.

@davidkennedydds ok, but may i ask how you are absolutely sure? how did you come to this conclusion? i have been researching this all over the internet, i probably read over 200 articles and forums about this topic, and still i have no clue weather it is safe for LONG TERM CONSUMPTION, or not! i have not found any scientific study's that either prove or disprove the safety of long term consumption of distilled water, there are tons of people who claim they have drunk it for 10,25, even 35 years

Think about it. Before they invented a shovel and lived a long time ago what did you drink? Rain water in one form or another right. Rain is distilled as Cat Steven's sings "Snowmen sleep in the sea". Oceans evaporate and when it condenses rain falls. Hard water generally comes from wells. Deep wells and thus cavemen are not going to be drinking from a deep well.

Even worse are the filter salesmen who make claims that this filter removes fluoride when it does not even tough it. Carbon does not remove any F. Reverse Osmosis only removes some unless it is the high pressure kind. I've purchased and tested bottled waters that claim to be made with RO that have exactly the same amount of f as the municipal water.
There are whole lot of liars out that are looking for your money.

Personally I think the addition of fluoride to the public water supply is a major cause of damage to our civil society. F damages the brains of children. Hydrofluosilicic acid sucks lead from pipes and food into children with a 6 fold increase in Black children with high blood lead levels. Everyone agrees it will harm a baby with fluorosis. That makes it a racist anti family unethical policy

I have been drinking it exclusively for a few months now and no problems. There are some professionals who warn against it calling it "unnatural" and saying that trace amounts of fluoride is normal. I guess they mean naturally occuring fluoride. Maybe I'll just plop a lemon in my distilled water now and then to make it natural :-)

I think fluorosis is very embarasing as well, my case is a little worse then this one, but I have no idea what caused it. I got then polished and covered to help hide the stains, and I also remember being asked about my teeth when I was younger.

The California Department of Health decided in 1986 to include dental fluorosis like you see in this video as an adverse health effect i.e. injury because of the adverse effect it would have on a child's self image.
In our face conscious society no one but the dentists responsible for this injury could look at her teeth and exclaim that they are the most beautiful white teeth ever yet, that is exactly what fluoridation advocates do. They also call it merely a cosmetic effect.

Although both Chlorine and Fluorine are halogens they are vastly different elements. CCl is essential for life and easy to remove from water with a simple carbon filter. F can only be removed with expensive water treatment like distillation. Filters are unreliable as they soon break down. Typical home Reverse Osmosis lets substantial amounts of F through and they too soon break down.
It is long past time for this intrusion into our homes to stop. It will stop only when enough people demand it.

BRAVO Dr. Kennedy... keep telling it like it is! We need an uprising over this. It is truly a poison and those in authority are telling us we have no credible science. The fact is, it's the other way around and they have no science to prove fluoride as safe for internal use. Stop mass medicating. A doctor would never write a blank prescription to a stranger and say take as much as you want, when you want.... however that is the case with fluoride.

I even had one lady tell me she had "fixed" her own cuspid with a similar problem using her fingernail emery board. It must have been pretty mild as I couldn't even tell from the front where she had polished off the whitish enamel. From the inside with my mirror I saw exactly where she hadn't been able to reach but then no one usually looks inside your mouth except a dentist. I'd avoid veneers if possible. In this video grinding was necessary to take off the poorly done old composite bonding.

The position of the tooth discoloration indicates that tip of the tooth was in the process of forming when you got overdosed with fluoride. Most likely you were given a fluoridated toothpaste or mouth wash at that time which tipped you over the edge to overdose. This can usually be restored to a more natural look by using an abrasive to "polish" off the bright white enamel. Most of the time when the rest of the teeth are not involved this whitish surface doesn't go all the way down into tooth.

For 60 years the fluoridation advocates have attacked the citizen's right to safe water in every state in the US. Today only Hawaii remains free of hydrofluosilicic acid.
The reason is their is a $200 million deception program coming from Washington DC and the US PHS and supported by the NIDCR and the CDC. You should have seen her teeth when the other children taunted her by calling her spot. Several thousand dollars worth of laminates and many hours later this problem is temporarily repaired. They will need replacing about 7 more times in a lifetime.
In California the Dept of Health determined that dental fluorosis was an adverse health effect due to the psychological impact having funny looking teeth would have on a developing child or anyone for that matter.

Even though I'm at low risk (Wake County, NC, Public Water Supply), I have noticed if you fill a bath with warm/hot water... it's brown.
They say it's safe, but I use PUR water filters where we commonly drink from.

Fluoride is colorless so the brown is most likely not from fluoridation. Bathing in fluoridated water is almost as high an absorption rate as drinking it. In the 30's they used a fluoridated bath to kill thyroid function.
Water filters remove no fluoride unless they are specifically designed for fluoride. In that case the filter will contain either calcium hydroxyapatite or alumina. Neither will work for a whole house.

My PARENTS used to make fun of my teeth, wondering how they got the way they were.
Then, I went to the dentist.
They felt pretty stupid after they found out that my fluoride plagued teeth was their fault; they were feeding me fluoride tablets and tap water.
Now I'm 16, hate my teeth and have self esteem issues.

Yes your story is both compelling and revealing. The city council put the fluoride in the water so the folks really can't be held responsible for thatl. Fluoride tablets or vitamins are prescription drugs. The responsible party is the doctor who wrote the prescription. Even more responsible is the FDA for failure to remove these dangerous poison pills now that they have been found out to be fake.

Yes it certainly sounds like it. The portion of the tooth harmed depends on the part being formed when excess exposure to fluoride occurred. The tip of the front teeth begins forming shortly after birth and so it sounds like you were overdosed early in life. This happens routinely if the baby is bottle fed and the formula is made up with tap water. The color of the lesion is not part of the classification as the tooth enamel is porous and can pick up color from food or beverages.

Yes there is a lot you can do but be careful as your teeth are young and grinding away enamel is permanent. You'll need that later.
The edge your teeth wear down over a lifetime so they may wear off. Bleaching with the OTC products seems reasonable for whitening yellowish spots and the enamel all over so the white spots don't stand out.
If you are still not satisfied with these conservative steps you might consider having your dentist polish with a emory disk the surface. That is fairly safe.

Be very careful about how you try to fix this disfiguring disorder. Enamel with fluorosis doesn't bond very well so in treating this with veneers they may fail and then you are wors off. When the tooth has matured sufficiently you should get a well trained dentist to try some selected abrasion fo the enamel to see if that makes the appearance acceptable.
Life is a lot longer than any dental restoration can last so everything you do now will have to be replaced several times over your life.

Very likely caused by excess fluoride while your teeth were forming if the spots were there when the teeth first came in. Fluorosis is the most common reason for tooth disfiguration.
I have a warning video titled "Poisoned Babies" I've posted above. The most common reason for fluoride overdose in infants is from drinking water fluoridation. Everyone on the planet now agrees that it overdoses a baby on a bottle. So now it time we should stop this insane practice.

bjorn48 has a firmly held belief but cannot provide even one broad based blinded scientific study valid by today's standards showing a benefit in reducing permanent tooth decay from adding 1 PPM fluoride to drinking water. 3 jury trials in three different states the advocates failed to show any benefit therefore the only remaining issue is harm.
Heller in 1997 documented that 30% of US children at 1 ppm F suffered from dental fluorosis of 2 teeth. Really good for cosmetic dentist's business.

If you live in a fluoridated area, ask your GP for a Blood Fluoride test. There are 5 Pathology proven people living in my UN-fluoridated town ALL with high blood fluoride levels obtained from foods/beverages manufactured in fluoridated areas...not our water,
The Pros say there is no proof of toxicity and this is one way we can give it to them. They won't do the research, so lets do it for them.
If your results are high get in touch with an anti-fluoride group and they'll tell you what to do.

The American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) has not stepped up and agreed with the National Academy of Science (two years later) by acknowledging that water fluoridation will cause dental fluorosis but then tired to minimize the impact by calling the permanent scaring of the enamel "cosmetic".
The National research Council determined that dental fluorosis was NOT just cosmetic so the deception continues. Shame on these political animals who destroy children's teeth with a failed policy.

Dental fluorosis is an adverse health effect that costs lots too cover-up. There is only one element that causes dental fluorosis and thus the pickings are ripe for lawsuits over injury. Where are the plantiff's lawyers when you need them with 500,000 more infants being injured in Southern California this year alone according to the EWG.

Tea has a natural fluoride content. Most grape juices and wines have high fluoride levels because of fluoridated pesticides residues on the grapes.
The USDA has a database of the fluoride levels found in common foods. Google the following

This happened to my kids' teeth because the Doctor recommended vitamins with Fluoride and it was already in the water supply and then, of course, they brushed with a fluoride tooth paste.

And it is a tragedy that was caused by the deliberate inaction of the Food and Drug Administration and the deceptions of the Center for Disease Control, the US Public Health Service aided and abetted by the National Institute of Dental Research. The bigger tragedy is that more and more children are going to suffer because the people responsible are continuing to promote systemic fluoride as beneficial when it clearly is not.

Doctor, do you feel that a beneficial amount of systemic fluoride exists? How do you feel about it as a topical agent? I feel that you are spreading fear here. It is of course possible that some communities do not control water fluoride levels properly. However, I see a very tiny amount of fluorosis in my practice (in a fluoridated city) and believe that the cavity prevention aspect far outweighs this risk. But then perhaps you don't believe that there is a cavity prevention aspect.

Everyone including the Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association now acknowledge that if fluoride has a beneficial effect on tooth decay the mechanism is entirely topical. There is no reason to dose anyone systemically with fluoride.
Topical is voluntary. I wouldn't recommend it because so much is absorbed and swallowed especially in children.
Fear is not the message. This degree of injury occurred at 0.8 ppm or lower from natural fluoride not even hydrofluosilicic acid.
