  • can u make a diesel run segway?

  • what if i want to increase its carrying capacity? i should change the motors into a motor with higher wattage right? so it can carry at least 120kg of load

    .. :)

  • GOOD JOB MAN !

  • HI, HOW MUCH TIME AND MONEY DID YOU INVEST IN THAT?

  • What is the range and speed with the current setup?

  • increible muy bueno

  • a little 2 close for comfort, you got a cup on, right?

  • Sweet!

    I'll have one please =)

    Nice job!

  • id buy this way before spending 5 grand on a segway.

  • that looks like a pile of shite

  • how much would you sell one of these i would buy one for $400-$500

  • Great job, I always wondered why the Segways are so expensive, it couldn't be because of the parts. Maybe if they would sell those for 2000 dollars, they would make more money because selling far more.

  • could you please leave info about parts and general information how you did it?

  • good job

  • Well, good job. Perhaps you can market a segway knockoff.

  • I have to work out the whole production line thing first... I think my girlfriend might not like it if I spend all my free time making these ; ).

Also, I'm working on a second version... we'll see how it looks

  • only one comment in 3 months? well I have a duty. I have always wondered why segways cost so much, they're just a couple of gyros and some motor controls right?

  • That's right, you can see that there isn't much to it. The most involved part would be the programing the micro to do the balancing. However, the parts list is, motors with wheels, motor controller, batteries, gyro, accelerometer, micro. Put it together and you've got yourself a Segway for around $500.

  • yes but segways have a redundancy system meaning that they have two of everything so incase one fails it has a backup so you dont endup doing a faceplant. not to mention segway has yet to meet expected sells of the first year of their introduction, 7 years later. meaning the company is still not profitable

  • I put the whole thing together for less than $500, the gyro and accelerometer can cost a pretty penny. The rest is relatively cheap!

  • Good work!!
