me and my friend went to london a couple weeks back, i brought my Drop Carve, he brought his Loaded Tan Tien. It was awesome >.< i seemed to notice (just my experience, and i'm just a stupid Aerican, so what do i know? :P) it seemed that people are a lot cooler about skaters in London City than they are in NYC. Dunno Why.
Does anyone know any really good, hilly areas in London to longboard? Preferably in North London, I live in East Finchley and I'm really bored of the same old moderately-steep bits of Highgate and Muswell Hill.
My mate and I both own sambas, truly great boards! The best carver and slider i've ever riden! Although speedwobble is a major problem at higher speeds
You gotta run different setups for different jobs.
For carving I like to run with two barrel bushings, soft on the upper and extra soft on the lower. Using a second barrel bushing instead of using the thinner bushing for the lower position, means you can loosen your trucks and carve better. Flip the cup washer around so it doesn't cut into the extra soft bushing.
To reduce high speed wobble, you'd want hard bushings all over, probably.
Would you recomend the Board for a first time longboarder

hey greenwich park is amazing for hills... there are alot of longboarders who hangout there too... give it a shot

Not familiar with the north of the city but in the south you have a lot of options if you ever want to come down just to ride for a day,
but i think joining the group on facebook called "london longboards" is a good place to find posts on certain hills you might not be aware of.
i dont know if that helps at all

Crystal palace park is good. There are videos of longboarding there

Longboarding videos from any other country are invariably awesome.
For some unknown reason the English just aren't cool.

thats a bit of generalisation lol 60million ppl over here i'm sure we're not all the same

True. But you'll admit the rain has a depressing effect.
Some of your ethnic minorities (from that 60million!) are very cool indeed.
Unfortunately they don't tend to skateboard much.
