@hypocriticalnaivete she has a hectic schedule. there was a break in recording her v2 and appends. she resumed an apparently finished recording last week. now they have to process the raw data to make a v3 bank set. currently there is one demo using her v2 version which will not be released since they decided to go v3 with her. the demo is lolipop factory. and it does not showcase her voice more than a few seconds and is highly autotuned and reverbed. not areal demo. but---

@adaje5 her v2 alpha version was given to a few producers who are allowed to make demos. keep watching out for those. and pray for an English append. it could happen. one of the CFM twitter feeds has mentioned Meiko and English in the same sentence. given the difficulties of translating Japanese accurately that does not mean that is what they meant. but one can only hope. and in my case I can bug the crap out of everyone I can find who is involved in making the MEIKO vocaloid.

you can find it easily in the youtube search bar. her part is only a few seconds long and is designed for cuteness higher pitched that optimal for her and has autotuning and reverb. it is not a MEIKO append demo. don't criticize it for that. it is good in its own way. the news is producers have her and demos will naturally follow.

@hypocriticalnaivete yes. its an early alpha (not even beta) build that was processed for the v2 engine. several Japanese producers received copies to use and evaluate. however CFM has decided to reprocess the raw vocal data and optimize it for the new V3 engine. what we do not know so far is if they have decided to record an English VB like they did for Kaito. Ms Haigou Meiko apparently is still recording something for CFM.

Not only that, all those stories are FAN MADE. So nothing is official, or ever will be. Every Vocaloid pairing is up to the song writer. So every one is intitled to their own opinoin and no one can say that any Vocaloid pairing is wrong or right. Because if you think about it.... Every Vocaloid pairing is right and wrong. You just have to listen to enough songs to know it.

@teeleipa There's a LOT of Meiko songs out where she doesn't sound "drunk". Besides her one World is Mine (which was intended), I don't know of any at all where she sounds "drunk" even. I guess I just look in the right places.

The reason why Meiko is often overlooked is because she's a Vocaloid1 program, and a lot harder to master, than the Vocaloid2 program. Many people find her design plain, so they don't like her-- which is frankly, retarded. >.>
