Hi all, I just started using adobe audition 2, but I'm facing a problem, was wondering anyone else has this problem. It happens when I click the record button, the recorded wave out has this 'timely' cut, almost like a metronome pause, then resumes recording (so i get a sudden dissapearing jump every now and then). without recording, the mike works perfectly fine. Anyone gets this

Anytime i try to drag a beat into audition so i can record over it the beat wont show up in multi track or edit view :(

when i drag it in it asks me to interpret sample format as, and i click ok. after i click ok it shows up on the left in the file thing but i have no way of actually putting it on a layer. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Adobe Audition 3 is so much better than Wavelab and all other audioeditors. Adobe Audition started 1995 under the name "Cool Edit 95" and back than it was released by the company Syntrillium for free. Its was free and no money you needed to pay. You could download it on the site of Syntrilium for free and you got the full version. With the years Cool Edit got famous and people loved it, so they changed the name into "Cool Edit 96", "Cool Edit Pro" and later "Audition". Now it costs around 400 $.

I had this for a while, but I actually prefer the much older Cool Edit Pro 2.1 edition of this software. If you have appropriate hardware, this software is just as good as anything.

you gotta make it a midi track, click on a track go to "Insert" up on the top menu and select midi track. Then you right click on the track and select sequencer.

wow. I started out using audacity and it was ok, but then i moved up to fruity loops 8 xxl pro and i thought it was amazing. I just got acid pro 7 and Adobe Audition 3 and am definately planning to jump headfirst into it. I should be able to learn it in a few months at the most i hope.

In Adobe Audition, click File|Extract audio from CD. Select the track you wish to be extracted/captured. It's a digital audio ripping, no need to set windows volume levels.

This is fine. It's a full featured DAW and handles VST and VSTi plugins. I would look at some free DAWs like Krystal or Reaper before jumping into this or any upper line program.

Its not about how cool a program is, its how well you can make it sound. Its got a steep learning curve, way too expensive and overrated. And its not "industry standard" there is no such thing.

Get Sony Acid Pro (difficult but worth it) or Cubase, etc. Pro Tools is just the same as any DAW but hip hop producers tend to think it is 'industry standard'. Ive used even Audacity to master tracks, Audition to record people. Hate Pro Tools :)

You can master well as you gain expirience. When mastering, you need to make sure your 'mix' is well, then when mastering you use EQ's, Compressors, Limiters etc. And in the digital world, never go near 0dbs. A nono. Any decent prog can master.

Hi all, I have 3.0. Is it possible to select more than one track into edit view? Lets say a bass drum is dead on, but the bass guitar is slightly ahead or behind. Can you have both tracks on the screen so you can see the bass drum attack and then adjust the bass not attack by sliding it into place. Anyone know, thanks for the help.

I have used Audition for only 1 week and I am blown away. It runs like a dream with my Profire 610 interface even with loads of VST and effects. (unlike Sonar) Its very easy to pick up (unlike Sonar) and lets you create without the headache.

I Make my basic backin tracks in Reason and then rewire to Audition to add vocals / Guitar and master. mwah mwaah mwah!!!!

it's excellent for a laptop or bedroom producers....I use it myself, and I gotta say the output is amazing...a wonderfully clean sound.....and yes, the multi-track editing and mixing is great....so functional and easy to use....

Multi-track editing is basically editing individual tracks of a song (if you have multiple tracks, i.e bass, drums, vocals) and mixing, I guess in this context it's simply put, making it sound good and clear.

Yes it is good for bedroom recording but I would make sure your Audio card / Interface has ASIO drivers and your laptop has a decent amount of RAM.

YES.

fruity loops is mostly for synth.Its a little easier to use fruity loops but audition is much better. I usually use fruity loops to make beats and drum stuff or synth/tehcno stuff and then use the files from fl in audition with guitar,vocals and bass.

Add a MIDI track, goto the sequencer - goto VST Plug-in manager(you can click it by going to the chose VST menu) and scan for VST's.

what the fuk?? Cubase isn't dead at all. I know heaps of my audio engineer friends who use it. I actually use Audition as my main program every single day... But the vids I've seen on Audition 3 there's hardly any new features at all. No point upgrading until there are new features I actually NEED.
