The blonde in the back ground is indeed Malin "Linn" Berggren and the real reason she dropped out of the group is that she didn't want to be subject to the violent attack that her sister Jenny experienced at the hands of a knife wielding crazed fan who invaded her home in 1994. Jenny later wrote a song " Ravine " about this experience. I like this version of the song better than UK version which is to frantic for my taste. Jenny was always my favorite.

This is the version I am used to and I thought it was the original while the Blazin' Rhythm Remix... well was the remix. So THIS IS US version while the UK version is the original? Sheesh! I like both of them for what they are. This one is more R&B and it's what I am accustomed to but the UK sound more like it should be the original.

@acheverie It is a sad story of her fading into life. She stopped liking to be seen in videos and live shows. She started asking to be less visible in the videos and she then retired and left traces of her famous life.

Strange yes but this is the truth. Nobody ever understood why she started disliking fame.

I wouldn't say either version is better, ace of base manages to capture the same feel, and the voice work isn't too far off the original. the beats just reflect the style of the time. Many remakes are usually utter crap, but I think this stays faithful to the original while adding it's own flare. Some people will simply not like a song because it's not the original. Plenty of examples of a remake being better though, like marilyn manson and tainted love.
