  • I was inspired after watching your video to pick up my very own noodler's rollerball nib creaper. I noticed that my pen accents are blue, the ring around the cap and the feed and the piston screw. When the feed screws into the body i noticed that there are threads on the feed but not on the body(grip section). Is this the same in yours as well?As a result the feed seems to be a little offset and not straight when i roll my pen across the desk it looks as though the tip is angled. Is this normal?

  • @erlc12 Yes! I've wondered about that too! You can, in fact, gently adjust the feed a little bit, but the minor misalignment doesn't seem to matter that much for writing.

  • Thanks for this video! I've never heard anything about Noodler's rollerball pens, so this was quite informative. Just one question: have you ever had any issues with feathering and bleedthrough on paper with these pens? Sometimes I have to write on cheap paper and my fountain pens are not the best tools for that. So, I wonder if Noodler's rollerballs would be better.

  • @mkglobetrotter Actually, I've used these pens with just two inks: Baystate Blue and Nikita. Those inks have never given me any significant bleedthrough or feathering. The rollerball tips are on the fine side, so unless you really, really underline some text, I don't think bleedthrough is an issue. I had no bleedthrough when grading student papers (printed on standard copier paper).

  • @sbrebrown While doing some research on Noodler's rollerballs, I came across a very interesting modification. Some people have purchased a Platinum Preppy marker, pulled out the tip with a pair of pliers and replaced it with a Noodler's rollerball tip. That way, the pen can be filled as an eyedropper! Pretty neat, isn't it? Cheap, too! I think I'll try that some time.

  • Ah, never mind! I just saw your video on Platinum Preppy fountain pens. You've certainly thought of everything! ;)

  • @mkglobetrotter I'm the man. ;-). But still, thanks for pointing it out - it's always useful to share information!

  • @sbrebrown Sir, greattt... I was looking for a roller ball pen... Could you please recommend me a Roller Pen which has a fine tip ?

  • @MetalMind28 I'll send you a more extensive personal reply, but for now: I think these Noodler's roller ball pens are not bad. The line is pretty fine, and you can use them with bottled fountain pen ink (many colours!) which is fairly unique at this price level. Alternatively, you might go for a Parker rollerball, they make good, fine nib cartridges.

  • thanks for review

  • @kano1raider You're welcome!
