That was actually my first and only time on a Hobie. Couldn't help but grab a camera w/ me.I'm usually in an FJ pushing water so this was a good change of pace.

I'm building one and plan to take her down the Cape fear river in 2 months, to Wilmington, then sail around the intracoastal waterways to get used to her. After that I'll be using her for fishing and transportation. Unlike the vessel in the video, mine is more of a cruiser, not going to be that fast.

El Capitan set it in that position. The wind was cranking up and he didn't want to overpower the boat on a gust. Plus I was just hangin out taking photos/videos. Being useless crew.

I was looking for a camera to take sailing/snorkeling with me. I'm now sold on the 1030.  Thanks for the vid.
