When the President of the nation gives a major speech, reputable news organizations will air it in it's entirety so that citizens can hear it. Several times I watched such a major speech aired live on CNN, while simultaneously putting my PVR to tape Fox coverage.
When I tuned into the recorded Fox, I found that instead of airing it live, they broadcast only segments, interspersed with Rep & Fox hosts criticizing it.

@Beauwrath 1 is a small portion of the budget. 4 & 5 are tiny (and 5 is technically a tax increase). 2 is slightly significant, but is still only $100 billion for a 1 Trillion+ deficit.
3 & 6 are taxes. Making corporations pay taxes is just a tax on consumers anyway, there is no such thing as free money.
You can nickel and dime all day with oil subsidies and foreign aid, but when it comes to actually finding money you are stuck with taxes.

Some changes need to be made to the other programs including a universal health care system being added. We are the only industrialized country in the world without one and are ranked 37th over all in health care even though we spend on average twice as much as the rest of the world per capita. Our system needs fix

Taxes are considered a cost of doing business and will be passed off. Even if they weren't, they would make corporations a less attractive investment option due to lower profits, thus hurting their ability to raise money to improve a product.
