Unlikely. Battler has been pointed to as the main character clearly. It is only his stubbornness that is in the way. Dont assume that ANYTHING from higurashi can be used in Umineko. The game itself is quite fun, though the descriptions for some ofmurder and especially Tea Part 2, is quite horrific. I think more so than Higurashi, though it depends on your opinon. The anime ought to be interesting.

Maria doesn't really look like a young Rena. Maria is also extremely childish, and really gullible. Rena is intelligent and perceptive, although with a very unhealthy obsession with 'kyuute' things.

Pffft. Everyone in Higurashi had that. Rena has 'Hauu', Mion has 'Ojisan', Satoshi has 'Muu', Rika has 'Mii' and 'Nipah,' Hanyuu has 'Au au au'.

I wouldn't say she has a split personality at all, she had a very consistent personality. She is childish, and wishes to be like Beatrice. She's just being manipulated by someone.

It is a MAD. It's based on the game series Umineko no Naku Koro ni (When The Seagulls Cry). This group has already done five MADs for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When The Cicadas Cry), which is it's predecessor.

The art of the actual game isn't like this at all. xD; But the game relies more on sound and story than visual aid.
