the part where they said "if I fullfill my dream will I be happy?" really touched me, as well as when they said "is this really my road?" ...this song makes you think
the beauty of this song is that, no matter how old i am, what situation im dealing with at the moment, and what mood i am in, its a song that i will always relate to
when i was a small little kid.. my mom brought me out and somehow we came across g.o.d and that 1 of them said that i was cute and i walked away uninterested... >.< i have no idea who they where XD
It's one of my all time fav korean songs. It brings back so many memories of my childhood. and I love the fact that they sing about life. It is a true music. I'm sad lately it seems like many songs that are popular don't really have meaning into them.
@kangsan2014 i bet you're talking about a bone thugs songg but g.o.d. based a lot of things off tupac, bonethugs and lots of popular music in the west long ago
Korean singers are plagiarizers, pure and simple. This sounds like some American music I've heard. We Koreans lost our creativity. What is wrong with us?
@rice31254 It seems you don't care about our country Korea AT ALL. We can be a better country and a better 한민족 if we didn't steal and plagiarize other movies and songs. In Seoul University, Korea University, and Yonsei, the humanities department is the least funded and lacks students in those programs. If we emphasized on creativity, literature, and art, then our country would make more magnificent pieces of art. Be more Korean, not a thief.
Plus this song is a Ballad song, not a old traditional song which the 한민족 usually creates
About 98% of the things you see today borrowed ideas from another work of art.
Korea's art and culture is also largely borrowed from China. Does that make Korea a thief? No it does not, Korea used Chinese ideas to create their culture, art, and various other systems.
Also, if Korea did not use ANY ideas from songs on the outside world, then all we would be listening will be traditional folk songs that are artistic but also INCREDIBLY BORING.
Plus the traditional songs roots came from China, which is your explantion is Plagerism.
@kangsan2014 Honestly... It's like you're putting down your own country. =\ You should have respect for the music Korea's making but instead you're generalize the entire music industry
@kangsan2014 you sir/maddam dumb. You dont think americans took ideas from other songs? Do you know how many songs were derived from Canon D. This song did not plagiarize since it is original in every way. The lyrics is unique, the beat is unique, the singers are UNIQUE. You see where im going? Plagiarism: "close imitation" i dont know any other song that sounds ALMOST AS Close as this song.
@kangsan2014 what creativity did korea ever have to begin with? same with japan? originally they copied china, now they copy america. it:s just a fact. but both of them are good at combining the two to create awesome music.
This has to be one of my favorite songs of all time. It brings back so many memories. Everytime I hear it, makes me think about him and cry. And just to mention, I love how the bubble quotes go with the singer. =) Beautiful song.
I wish JYP would compose more songs like this for his current groups. I remember hearing this song and loving it without knowing its meaning and then after understanding the meaning of the song it further made me love G.O.D - Who hasn't faced the issues of what lies for them in the future and the uncertainty of it all etc. Totally loving it <3
I don't really think TVXQ and G.O.D. should be compared, but I understand that we all have the tendency to do so. They have their own styles and TVXQ is a fan of G.O.D. and H.O.T.
@pkb0682 Well not really, H.O.T songs do told about our life, politics & compassionate to disability. I not dissing g.o.d but for me personally i felt last time idol is the jjang their song always not focusing on love only unlike nowadays idol.
Thx so much for postg n w eng subs too - really nice song! I saw Kim Taewoo in a talk show interview with Bi Rain . Taewoo - lovely husky voice n great sense of humour!!
i hope that the big entertainment companies allow their idols to grow out of their current phase. some of the idols are really talented (they can sing, they can dance and they're entertaining to boot!) and deserve to be known as ARTISTS and not just IDOLS. despite what the companies think, you can make good music, even if it's on the mainstream side.:( i wish they would see the light!
@synawe get out of here with your accusations. theyre just r&b in the same key of D. Also they were released in 2001, where GOD's album was delayed. If you dont know shyt about music don't hate on awesome artists.
@synawe Real R&B follows narrow musical parameters, just like straight blues music. You don't complain about Stevie Ray Vaughan sounding like Muddy Waters, do you? There is no plagiarism here.
The one IDOL group that wasn't all about the looks, dance, or lyrics about love, but whose songs touched the hearts of many.... Why can't there be another group like GOD? Why do all IDOL groups be based on Looks, body and dance?
Just shows how the Korean Music culture is deteriorating (no offense, I'm KOrean, but it's true.
@d18fm Amen I agree on that. Nowadays they're trying to copy American music (especially HipHop) too much. No offense to the fans, but groups like BigBang (and their solo's) 2NE1 and so on..

@NeeUhlgool Didn't I said so already lol, nowadays they copy American Hip-hop music too much which is now mainly, as you mentioned, shitty bling rap. Rap is still an element of Hip-hop though. It has lost its original reason of existence.
@rice31254 Yeah that's so true. It's a shame that T-Pain like music (with the voice cover-up or how you call it if you know what I mean) has become mainstream. Partially that is the fault of the public though, they all want a nice beat to dance to and that's it. Though I really can't blame that need. That's why we should dig, dig and search for some meaningful rap with good beats. Long live oldskool, the real skool, get them rappers back to the classes.
I love the feeling the song gives out. So far I can only sing Kye Sang's first verse and the chorus, Ho Yeong's part. Maybe a little bit of Tae Woo's part too. I think Kpop is going more towards American music... as in more emphasis on sex appeal and contents on appearance... these days. its like listening to nowdays music without seeing the video is just plain dumb and you cant even think or percieve about what they really mean even
g.o.d on the other hand makes us think about the song and not the video because most of the the time you listen to music it is for the MUSIC not music video straing at hot girls
@tigerjonn i so agree with you, and its an international thing as well. Me being african american and such a fan of korean music i feel the industry has slipped from being manificant to totally NOT. OMG me too i so agree with you
its like listening to nowdays music without seeing the video is just plain dumb and you cant even think or percieve about what they really mean even
g.o.d on the other hand makes us think about the song and not the video because most of the the time you listen to music it is for the MUSIC not music video straing at hot girls

@momentaryearjoy1 im not talkin about the types of songs, im talkin about the quality of the songs.

@tigerjonn zomg well in that case... i completely agree the quality of songs has dropped. god sings with so much emotion in this song. gahhhhh

@tigerjonn i so agree with you, and its an international thing as well. Me being african american and such a fan of korean music i feel the industry has slipped from being manificant to totally NOT. I was just listening to a Click-B song i havent heard in years (cowboy) and thought, that was when the real artist came out instead of bein money hungry cosentrated on the music...totally agree
