Most def IHOP is struggling with sound theology. It's due to the fact that they base their spiritual growth with the Lord on discipline instead of recieving.... (which, of course, will lead you to misunderstand the heart and Word of God). However, these kids love God and have been blessed! No reason do doubt their worship and prayer as genuine. Theology? Not so good. It's blindness, not deception from Mike Bickle. Everyone makes mistakes he's not doing it on purpose.

Buddy, I think some cool things happen at IHOP... fair enough... but it was one lie from the devil, a lady adding and taking away from what God said, and an ounce of lust that led to disobedience. If there is a dangerous aspect of the overall IHOP movement wouldn't you welcome it, especially if it comes from atop the IHOP pyramid or in the sneaky theology sorta like Mormonism.

Okay. After watching a couple more videos from this Todd guy, I can't say that I disagree with a lot of what he says. I just do not think he's looking at this correctly, and I don't think it's fair to say that loving Jesus is wrong. You have to balance God as Lord and Father. And, does the Bible not say that He is coming back for a spotless BRIDE?? Don't a husband and bride have a relationship?
Okay, iHOP uses the Bible in ALL of their music! They are worshipping, praying, and constantly throwing out scripture. One cannot base their relationship with God on "worship" sessions, prayer meetings, or what others that attend iHOP look like either - this is true. On that note, I completely agree. BUT, the big truth here is that hot-headed people like Todd think that they always know what is correct, and they will never be able to recieve from any other ministry. Loving Jesus is not a sin.
@truthmovement1~ The whole reason God created man was to be in relationship with him. Once man sinned we no longer had access to God in the intimate way that Adam experienced God. But when Jesus came and died for us we now have access to God through the blood of Jesus. So to be constantly in His presence doesn't seem to me like a cult. When other churches start praying and fasting or hungering after God as much as people I know from IHOP KC, then start criticizing the movement, but as far as I'm concerned, most churches aren't praying and fasting for revival in our nation, but it's part of the Christian lifestyle. There's some things I don't agree about IHOP end-time teachings, but one thing I do know is God is pouring out His Spirit and Jesus is waiting for a bride that is on fire for him, not look-warm. I don't think this is bad representation of the IHOP church. The IHOP church is twisting the scripture and perverting the relationship between Jesus and man. I've seen, personally, a few who were messed up spiritually because of the IHOP church. I would say "get out" if you're involved, and "run away" if you are thinking of joining. The prayer movement and the importance of intercession I would say are definitely things that need to be emphasized more in churches today. I believe most churches are direly lacking in this area. As saints we need to wrestle on out knees for the lost of this world.

He by no means addressed anything about what IHOP leadership believes and practices. No one in IHOP would say they have a ungodly intimate relationship with Jesus. And when did long times of worshiping Jesus become bad? I don't get this at all and it breaks my heart that people would listen to this man's opinions and slander. I pray for his soul. It terrifies me that he feels justified in bashing others without even understanding where they are and why they do what they do based on scripture.

This Video is absolutely Rubbish....what would Todd say about the Disciple that lay his head on Jesus' Lap.....some of the most unsound doctrine and no scripture to match up what he is saying....=a pointless rant

@acela123 I'm sorry but everything you have just said is utter Garbage, there are plenty of places in the Bible that plainly show that it is possible to have Visions and see Angels...Acts 2:17 being a very good example..This is why it is important for a believer to line things up with scripture and Go by what God says not how they feel...please next time you try and make an argument..Come Biblicaly Correct..God Loves You and wants to have a real relationship with Him...not something one-sided

acela, there are also complaints from parents that claim that their children were forbidden or coerced to not have contact with them. In the comments section of this post, I listed a link that documents various complaints about those that are in leadership positions that are associated with IHOP.

He by no means addressed anything about what IHOP leadership believes and practices. No one in IHOP would say they have a ungodly intimate relationship with Jesus. And when did long times of worshiping Jesus become bad? I don't get this at all and it breaks my heart that people would listen to this man's opinions and slander. I pray for his soul. It terrifies me that he feels justified in bashing others without even understanding where they are and why they do what they do based on scripture.
