  • Jones is good, great at times. But I have to admit, I wonder what Johnny and the Heartbreakers would sound like doing this one or even the Dead Boys.

  • Does anyone know what he sings instead of 'black leather' during the chorus, I can only make it out to be 'high heeler'...

  • Is that Duff McKagan???

  • @Disco234jockey Yeah, him and Jones formed The Neurotic Outsiders and played alot and recorded some stuff right before Steve went back to the Sex Pistols in 1996. They still play alot together

  • total Iggy Pop ripoff but good nonrtheless cuz Jonesy rules

  • The Runaways' version wasn't bad either.

  • steve jones is one bad m.f.!

  • Neurotic Outsiders ?

  • when was this?

  • Is that Duff Mckagan and Matt Sorum?

  • @xFreddehx Yep that's duff and Matt.

  • Guns N' Roses cover is better

  • @MitchBoy51 Yeah and its the best song off the Spaghetti Incident!.

  • hes a fucking ruler !!!

  • fucking awesome tune

  • listen to "down on the street" by the stooges, thats where he got the riff from

  • johnny rotten was PAVAROTTI compared tho this!

  • Prefer The Runaways version...

  • heh

  • Bad singer incredible bad...

  • If you don't know what is singing what are you doing destroying our ears? Sex Pistols ended at 1977 you too......please you ahve to understand it Mr Steve Fat Jones

  • Steve has taken some liberties with the lyrics. If you can figure them out, please post them!

  • Great song!, awful vocals ...

  • it's steve, but it ain't

  • Dreadful.

  • badass legend

  • Lame vocals

  • FUCK STEVE JONES, DSP FTW

  • fuck u for dsp!

  • Is that Duff on bass? the bassist for Gn'R that is. They covered this song so I was just wondering.

  • @Ozzfan486.. Yes and also Matt Sorum on drums from gnr. Just after they split up, i believe..

  • @Motodevill6 Yeah, I noticed Matt after I posted that. Pretty cool song.

  • Steve Jones played guitar for a band called Fantasy7, with another guy doing vocals. I saw them at the Casbah club in San Diego, CA. If anyone has tracks or videos of that band, please post.

  • i do have alot of tracks by them all demos tho ill upload them when i get chance

  • where can i find the Fire and gasoline album lyrics?

  • This is Neurotic Outsiders, NOT Steve Jones as a solo artist. And this song is fucking great.

  • this ain't neurotics outsiders because in neurotic duff play the guitar and got the short hair

  • buen tema rockeroo!!

  • Gailis90, yes this is the same Steve Jones who so hilariously swore on British tv. This crap is abysmal. but he is a legend for that tv appearance alone. LOL

  • Steve is the beeeeest!

  • Is this the same Steve from Sex Pistols? :O

  • what does he say in the chorus? i can't get it

  • @rafabassist High-heeler?!

  • they keyboards kinda bring it down a bit.

  • Is he in to the black leather thing?

  • he's wearin leather pants , he used to wear leather pants in the pistols ( check the videos) he probably is a bit ,

  • hey jordyr77 do ya hear that riff no? yea basic enough but its rocks! its such a gud guitar song! and he made that in 1978, d solos are really nice here aswell, hes not d most technical guitarist eva, but defo in the top 50 of all time no doubt! tink of how original the sex pistols sound was at d time, solo stuff is amazin aswell, check out the album 'fire and gasoline',sp4172 is only sayin hes underated probly bcause guys said he couldnt play wen obv hes one of d ledgends! go on stevey jonesy :D

  • Fire and Gasoline and the album Mercy and not forgetting he plays on Iggy Pops Instinct.

Jones is not the best in the world but its only until in the last few years he has been given credit.

Never Mind the Bollocks is a masterpiece.

Had to go live in the USA or he would have perished in the UK. Great Survivor. Gibson snubbed him for years and one day they finally woke up.

  • i agree wit everytin u say vanvimon, i really luv d way mercy and fire and gasoline are lyk 2 completely different concepts, lyk ya wouldnt even know it was d same guy!:L d neurotic outsiders album is gr8 aswell! u ever hear of d professionals?

  • I've got the Professional album and it's killer.

  • Steve Jones, is the most underated guitarist in the history of rock music. He was the shit in the Pistols and you can see here he is even better. Not a bad singer, but not his area of expertise. Although, put a Les Paul in hands and he will blow your mind.

  • @sp4172 In the '90s, mojo magazine had him at no 37 (one place below Clarence White of The Byrds) in a list of top 100 guitarists

  • when was this gig? and whose song is this, originally? awesome tune

  • Sex Pistols song, Steve sings lead vocals on it though, released on the six pack singles.

  • fuck, jonesy's so hot

  • HOT AS HELL:-)

  • Here's a little info about this gig. This is the grand opening of The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Duff, Matt and Teddy Zig Zag and were part of the house band. They also played with Seal, Iggy Pop, Bo Diddley and Billy Idol. Actually Steve Stevens also played with Billy Idol and Seal. Duran Duran also played that night during which Matt indroduced John and that was the begining of "The Neurotic Boy Outsiders", which was later changed to The Neurotic Outsiders.

  • duff mac kagan...

  • ah he pushes his accent away =/

idk something about his singing takes away from his guitar playing, its not bad in no way shape or for mis it bad... but he is definetly less energenic

  • Stevie Jonsie, I´m a Sex Pistol!

  • magic!

  • wow steve you rock!

  • cool!!!

  • I'd like fucking Steve in the ass, he is soooo hoooottt!!!!!!!1

  • He keeps changing the words to the song. fucks it up. Listen to the recorded version on the japanese album :And Now The Sex Pistols" it will blow you away.

  • steve jones is a fucking hero! but a really crap front man haha! crap but great in some strange way

  • Damn he really has no stage presense

  • scott who?

if only steve was in velvet revolver.

    no stone temple pillock.

  • Just read Slash's book and they had Steve Jones name on the list ...

  • i so want a tattoo!

  • duff played the r.guitar with the neurotic outsider, not the bass like in this video..the bass player was John taylor ... are these the N. outsider???

  • Yes they are! Seems they changed the guitars sometimes. maybe another Bassplayer...

  • this is before N.O., it's just Steve Jones w/ Matt and Duff. Afterwards they got John Taylor from Duran Duran on bass and started up the Neurotic Outsiders (and Duff's got his hair cut).

  • Jones IS god!

  • i got the album

  • whoopee shit! i've got a big dick.

  • Jones is so hot dressed like that...

  • Neurotic Outsiders were a great band. This is not a best example though. The Runaways with Joan Jett and Lita Ford did a full on cover of this song on And Now... The Runaways album :)

  • In my opinion the best version of this is on the Japanese album "Best of Sex Pistols" (Not Best of "THE" Sex Pistols) It is the Steve Jones/Paul Cook studio version. And it is slick and nasty and Killer. Also Miss Jett use to do a killer version back in 1979/80 in the early Blackheart days.

  • Duff and Matt Sorum, didnt know they did this little show

  • This must be in the mid 90s at a guess?

  • Where's the origanal? I know it from Gnr honestly. Speghetti inncodent.

  • its on the Sex Pistols Six Pack of singles

  • and btw its SPAGHETTI INCIDENT...

  • I like vermcelli anyway. But thanx for having nothing better than to correct my spelling.

  • i'm merely tryin to correct it.. what's wrong with that? if some peeps wanna check out the album and they can't find it, they're duped by some spellin' errors..

and seriously, it has nothin to do with vercimelli either.. thankss..

  • peeps? ok dude.

  • yeahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is that Matt Sorum on drums? How old is this?

  • Yes, that's Matt Sorum

    and Duff McKegan too

    ...Neurotic Outsiders, they were called

  • One of my favorite albums. I'm glad there are others out there that remember N.O.

  • ill be adding that to my steve jones list then . n1

  • steve jones 4ever

  • well you can't refuse, just can't choose whats you gonna do

  • Changed the words around a bit, but still a great song...

  • still a great guitarist.

  • Still hot!

  • Added to *the group*!
