This is over a year old. Police no longer leave without damaging property. Don't even talk to them much less open your door.  If you look out the window and see cops, just ignore them and they'll go away unless they have a warrant.

a colorado couple got their prescription, their growing license only to have CPS yank their kids from home and child abuse charges for producing drugs with children in the home! Just goes to show its still a witch hunt and they are doing nothing but collecting names. Fuck The PIGS! They need to go get a Real Job for once. Romer said when the law was passed in 2000 it did not allow for store fronts so why did he just pass the new law saying caregivers can only have 5 patients. Romer is a lair.. If cops don't have a warrent, there is no inherent need to even open the door for them. The biggest way to defeat knock and talks is simply to never open the door in the first place. If you open the door cops will use tactics to get inside - including sticking their foot in the door, making up reasons of imminant danger, chemical smells, etc. Alot of busts are from warrentless tap and rap's: you open the door you are giving them an opportunity to manufacture reasons for a warrant.

@bradyrose Always answer the door, dont hide inside and be insubordinate. What if they are there to tell you a family member was in a car accident and in the hospital.. The cops dont only do drug busts... just my friendly suggestion.

@bradyrose I find the best way to talk to them if you have to without directly exposing your house to there coppish tactics is to simply walk out the back door and around the house then talk to them. If they ask why you didn't use the front door say your dog would jump out the door or the door is never used because it broken etc... Never walk out the front and talk to them unless it is clear they have a warrant.
