  • almost a stall

  • A small mud puttle and a spit waud and I think he could pullit off.

  • hahahahaha the plane is a little "tipsy" hahahahahaha

  • i helped build this plane :P

  • Takes off with the water rudders down! Rookie mistake.

  • Pretty good with a bit of crosswind.. More money than brains than money I suppose! AV gas has not gotten any cheaper in that last 2 years has it???

  • You can see the small letters of the tail number on the tail. People will usually do this untill they get their paint job finished.

  • @flynncowboy No - it's because it's registered "Experimental" (kit built)

  • That plane has no N number WHY? Good pilot!

  • his water rudders are down on takeoff....thats a case of beer please

  • Yeah it get's off the water quick... but it's BFUGLY.

  • I GUESS ITS CALLED A PULL-OFF @ 0:57

  • Holy-shizboly! That guy go up in all of about 100 feet on one of those tries! He could probably take off from a neighborhood retention pond like that!

  • Looks like the pilot has a fear of water....

  • I'm pretty sure that's a CH701 on straight floats. Probably 100hp 4-stroke Rotax 912-ULS

  • it puts alot of stress on the plane to do that.

  • CH701. Looks like it must have a 100HP Rotax 912s in it. Sounds like it to,

  • He is taking off (can't see the landings) with the water rudders in the down position. There should be a transition from the water 'taxi' postion (water rudders down) to water rudders up for take offs/landings- as plane will use the authority of the normal "air" rudder. As a seaplane pilot myself-that is how I was trained. I assume this is because it appears to be under test? Pilot obviously knows what he is doing. Maybe he deliberately left them down as quick transition? or forgot as rushing?!

  • holy thick wing!!!

  • Good pilot, but that plane has some major horsepower too.

  • actually it doesnt have that much, but the reason it can do that is because its designed for slow flight so it can get flying sooner, ist also called STOL.

  • It is 100 HP I think.

  • I think this guy landed and took off in my bath-water ;-}

  • Wow that's so crazy.

  • i this a pilatus?

  • With that think camber and chordline surely can give a good lift for that a/c...

plus the angle on that leading and the trailing really loook high...

heheehe...again cool videoo... SUper extrem STOL capabilities i would say...

  • hehehe... a good strong headwind...

    Cool video..

  • great job for that pilot on his short water take offs and landings.. a lil bit rough but great.. nice amphibian though.. cheers..

  • The airplane is modified for short takeoffs? (at least the flaps are longer as well as the wings broader)

Why does he need to have short take off? (small water space available?)

    Thank you, good video!

  • wow i thought he was going to stall

  • Looking good.
