I used to ridicule and make fun of Lakewood too.until I learned what the Bible had to say and how real these folks really are.. I challenge you who make fun of this video to take a chance, I dare you to just make a visit to this church to see how many of the lost they take in and help all the time. People that other denominational churchs would not welcome in Lakewood welcomes .... The only thing they do differently is that they LOVE YOU AND ACCEPT YOU...YES EVEN YOU MR/MS ATHEIST AS YOU ARE.

The majority of the people you see on this video are gone from Lakewood. Smiley is doing his own thing. When he gets to heaven his daddy his going to take him out back, behind the woodshed and tan his hide, for all that motivational speaking.

@HomDepoMan don't you see that different people have a different anointing? that the body of christ is made up of ALL different kinds of people, and whether they preach, usher, or motivational speak, it doesn't affect the fact that God is working through them. No Joel is not a preacher, he doesn't say he is. But he does impart the hope and love of the Father through his talks, and God is at work at Lakewood. Remember that God is the one who talks to our hearts and convicts us, not a preacher.
