  • sad part is i bought that color and as soon as i came home and used it, the pan fell on my lap

so it was not glued in and i bought it at ULTA

  • UGH! no matter what tool i use i CANNOT get anything wedged between the two plastic pan pieces :(

  • it is more likely to get a cut from a DULL knife than from a well sharpened one.

  • Amazing!!! LOve it. Very helpful :) Thank u

  • Where do you find your magnets to place on the bottom of the depotted shadow? I can't find any good ones...

  • great video!! i just want to make sure, since the nyx eyeshadows are kinda thick, are u sure they wud fit well in the mac palette?? like will it close right???

  • can this work for other single shadows?

  • And to put the nyx single eye shadow ate Coastal Scents empty palette, what kind of magnetic I could put in the bottom of the shadow?

  • my sister depotted her NYX eyeshadows and she put them in a homemade CD case palette in the video you made (:

  • my mom wount let me have real make up!she oley let me have the stuid baby make up! have any tips to get her to let me use real make up

  • @jemmy1238 if u have ur own money when ever u got shopping go and get makeup thats what i do

  • Why do you wear makeup? I'm just asking because I'm curious. It's perfectly fine to me. :P

  • what does the extra sticker on the back of the magnet do?

  • @casi198920 I am assuming the white sticker is there, so that you can scribble down the brand/colour name.

  • You are such a beautiful person with lovely energy!

  • omg this is sooo helpful! thank you for uploading this =D

i have a quick question though:

can you use nyx eyeshadows on your clients for professional makeup? thank you =D

  • my nyx single doesn't have any slits or lines on the sides - maybe a newer case? No way to get under the shadow to pop the inner plastic case out..

  • Existent Asian beautiful girls dating busizz4me.info

  • many women here from Asia busizz4me.info

  • you're so insightful, thanks for the information.

  • Where do you find the nix palettes?

  • Koren

You seem like such a sweet, kind person. And so talented, too! Thanks for all the videos. :)

  • does heat ruin your eyeshadows? i haven't done this before and i am scared to ruin my eyeshadows

    love you videos

    x

  • weird question: have u ever tried depotting coastal scents 88s or any itty bitty eye shadows before?

  • Thanks! Very helpful, I've only recently seen the NYX line at a drugstore where I live, this is helpful because I wanted to get a lot of colours :)

  • the shadows from s korea do not depot does anyone have any other suggestions?

  • Comment removed

  • *any

  • I never saw in clips on the side! I looked everywhere :(

  • this is impossible to do with the shadows manufactured in S. Korea...

  • do the nyx shadows fit in the Z-palette?

  • Thank you! This was wonderful and you, as always, are a breath of fresh air.

  • Where do you buy those circle stickers?

  • All right I really want my nyx shadows in a palette. I can do the first step where I get the black pan out of the full pot but when I've tried getting the pan out of the smaller black piece I end up shattering the shadow. If I just glue a magnet onto the black piece and put that in the pan, do you think that would work? Would the palette still shut or would the pieces be too tall? Thanks!

  • That was great tutorial

  • Mr EnKore, u know ur a genius right?! THANK Y OU for this tutorial!!

  • are the nyx trios the same quality as the singles?

  • yes they are, the trios are just designed to give you a "look".

  • for some reason i cant get my knife wedged into the pan :(

& i stabbed my eyeshadow & finger on accident lol

  • I have depotted 40+ NYX shadows, but some of the new shades (like Sparkle Cedar) that are made in South Korea I've found impossible to depot. Maybe it's only the ones manufactured in China that are depottable in this manner?

  • what kind of palette do i put it in once they are depotted?

  • you can put it in a mac palette, just take the seperater out. or costal scents and take out the foam speraters

  • exactyl what i was thinking ha

  • OH MY GOD..I HAVE AROUND 15 OF THESE NYX'S..I can't imagine seeing myself doing this..But instead of carrying around 4 single ones..I guess it wouldn't hurt to try..I know I am going to end up in the emergency room to get stitches..Just using a dull knife..LOL>.

  • thats ok, if youre pressing to pans - that works best.

  • THANK you for this video. lol im doing mine right now!!!!! woohoo!!!

  • i think that if you broke your shadows and then got a pan that fit into the mac pallet and then pressed the shadows into the pans then you could put them into a mac pallet

  • were can you find nyx other then online

  • some drugstores carry them, ULTA sells them. You can send a message to NYX and see if you can get a list of stores in your area that sells the products.

  • Enkore My NYX'S don't have any of those slots that you are showing in this video..None at all..It's all just one solid case...In your video are these old shadow cases?Or are mine old shadow cases? thanks..Love ya..

  • @xxtorixx93 check out the store at makeupgeek(dot)com, they have lots of awesome Nyx eyeshadows.

  • No, because the MAC palettes have well dividers thats not permanent on the palette. The shadows will seep under the walls.

  • so hello could you do a video on what your dayly routine is?

  • Could you buy NYX shadows at Rite Aid?

  • just moved new area

    this video was good CJ

  • hey enkore i dnt want to some dumb

but wats the whole point of depoting?

  • so you can put the shadows in one palette.

  • Could you just let the whole shadow thing sit in the bowl of alcohol for a couple of seconds instead of trying to drip the alcohol between the pan and the plastic?

  • you dont want the alcohol to get to the eyeshadow and soak it.

  • where can i buy square palettes?

  • Hey EnKore! Thanks for the response

And I know! Why don't they make the singles round? i just don't get it!

But anyways, I think I'll keep buying the trios cuz you get more for your money, right?

  • yes, definitely!

  • Hey EnKore! Another amazing video!!! thanks!

I just have one question... do you think that the NYX trios are as high pigmented as the singles? Cuz I read somewhere that they are not. What do u think?

    Thanks :)

  • hey nathy - depending on the colors you pick. If they are bright/vivid, then they will be as intense. The pastels of course will never be vivid, just nature of pastel. I think NYX should have made their singles ROUND.

  • Do you have any ideas of containers to hold the square NYX shadows? Thanks!

  • they can fit in a mac palette if you take the well tray out. I have a video called Converting MAC Palette to fit odd shaped shadows. Hope that helps.

  • interesting,, never thought to remove the shadows from ther boxes( why??) but very handy.. you are the handyman :)anyway..i guess it is to make more spase in you makeup box :{ i like the NYX shados.. for the price i think is a good buy! when i first saw them i was thinking i am buying a crap!!! hahaha but no.. i use them and i love them! love the colors!

  • Hi EnKore! Thanks for the video! My question is do you recommend the NYX eye shadow products? I mean, how are they? I've never tried, want to though . . . since all the M.A.C eye shadows are really expensive in England, and I really don't want to spend a lot of money on a single eye shadow for 20 something pounds . . . can you do a review on the NYX products? Thank you thank you!!!!

  • AWESOME VID! SOOO HELPFUL!!

  • You totally rock EnKore! Love your videos, they are incredibly helpful and resourceful!

  • Hey thnx for the demo! I like to mcguyver things but I can get really crazy with stuff and sometimes end up cutting myself or totally destroying what I'm working on :( Yeah, I'm dangerous so thank you for showing me how this was done. Also, I wanted to ask you if it makes a difference what base you use to get good color payoff and blendability with NYX. I have MAC Bare Canvas, Beige-ing shade stick and I'm debating on Benefit Lemonaid or NYX in Milk. Any pointers? I want matte colors to pop.

  • yeah, different bases have different finish and results. Some creases. And the more popular ones are non-creasing and longwearing. Paint and Shadestick creases on most, so a lot prefer MAC Paintpots and Urban Decay Primer Potion. These makes color really vibrant and longwearing.

  • Thanks, of course I HAD to pick the 2 the crease, PLUS I'm oily. I was thinking I'd have to live with the creasing. I do okay with application but when it comes to the tools and primers and what not, I'm slow. Also, I live in Hawaii on Maui so we dont have too many choices as far as brands (the only one here is MAC...sad) but I'm gonna try the paintpot. I appreciate the pointer a whole lot.

  • thanks for the tutorial!

    it really helped.

all my eyeshadows were taking up too much room

  • I TRIED, haha, but being the clumsy person that I am, i end up shattering my eyeshadows&now they look all cracked up.But i did find a better way to do it for my own convenience. After popping the eyeshadow with the plastic plate out, I popped it into the oven to melt the plastic and the glue at the same time and got it as well. Just wanted to share with the rest of you who is clumsy like me too that tends to break things. But anyways, you're the best Enkore! Keep up with the fabulous tutorials<3

  • r there any other palettes u can use instead of MAC?

  • sure! you be creative and turn other things to palettes. I usually go to a craft store and get ideas there. Also, there are empty palettes available at Yabycosmetics (dot) com if you want to check those out.

  • how is the eye shadows on yabycosmetics?? Just curious

  • enkore i want to make a request how to make belt brush..

  • Are NYX shadows as good as MAC's or Milani...like do they have they same pigment?

  • hey PannyLane - NYX shadows are high-pigmented. I find that it doesnt apply on as silky/velvety as MAC, some people say its chalky. Overall, it comes high on my list, and price-wise, its definitely a great alternative.

  • Oh ok and what about milani shadows?

  • Milani have good pigments as well, the only thing is the colorfastness - the colors fade easily and doesnt stay long. Nyx stays longer. Also L'Oreal HIP duos are good.

  • HEY! i have a question, after you depot the eyeshadow where do you put it? is there a certain palette i can get so they will fit like the mac eyeshadows?

  • I put them in an empty palette that you can buy at a MAC store. You can get 15-wells, or 4-wells palettes.

  • completely random comment on this video, but you have wonderful nails, very healthy, perfect shaped beds, and just all around great nails.

  • awe, thanks! my sisters hate me for it! LOL I just wish they dont grow fast on me. I have to cut my nails twice a week. Sometimes I just let it grow to make some people jealous. haha

  • Hey! thanks so much for this video! Unfortunately I couldn't get my knife under the pan, even with the alcohol, until I'd heated it first (which I didn't really want to do but I couldn't get it in :-( ). Two minutes on a candle warmer worked for me

  • it takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it. Its pretty easy.

  • Hey Enkore! I was wondering, is NYX supposed to be pronounced "nicks" instead of "en why ex?" I know Nyx was the greek goddess of the night and on their website, it even says that on the bottom.

  • First, let me tell you how amazing you are and that you have truly sparked my interest in makeup! You are so fabulous!

But I wanted to ask you-- How do you like NYX products? I know you are a MAC maven, but I can't afford it all the time (poor college student, lol) do you feel that NYX eye products are very pigmented? Are they long lasting? Also, where do you get your NYX products?

  • hey Allure - NYX is becoming more and more popular! I have used the product, and YES its highly pigmented and I place it 2nd to MAC. It does not apply cream-like or silky-velvety like MAC but for the price, its workable. It wear quite long due to high pigment, so thats a plus if you ask me.

  • I heard that if someone takes some emptied MAC pots back to MAC stores, they will give something back. I don't understand what's really to bring back because I got tons of MAC emptied pots. Please fill me in. Thanks for this tutorial; I have tons of NYX shadows as well.

  • hey Lanie - any Plastic or Glass container from MAC. For every 6, you get a free lipstick at a counter, or you can get either lipstic, lipgloss, or eyeshadow at free standing store. Lip tubes, mascara tubes, e/s pots, foundation bottles, etc. So any Plastic or Glass.

  • Hello there, just wondering, in term of quality, do you think that NYX can be compare to MAC? I love MAC, but being an avid make up fan, MAC eyeshadow and such can put me in debt after a while. I want to try more variety of color but I don't want to fork out 14 dollars for something I might wear perhaps once every other month, so I know NYX can't be as good as MAC, but could it be comparable?

  • hey Jennifer - NYX is up and coming and really becoming popular. Its high pigmented, so the color payoff is comparable to MAC. However, it does not apply creamlike, smooth, velvety like the MAC shadows so you will really need to work a bit harder blending the product in. Otherwise, for the price, its the next best thing.

  • what do you do with your empty pot? chuck it?

  • hey Heavenly - yeah pretty much. I just throw it in the plastic recycling bin.

  • phew!! that plastic tray just flew away to God knows where lols. thanks a lot for the demo enkore, it was something new for me.

  • Thank you so much for your tips! They have really helped :)

  • you are really talented!! and your makeup tips are really really helpful!!

    Tnks for the tutorials!!!

  • thanx

  • once you depot these nyx singles where do they go? i mean i know that there's mac palettes but are there nyx palettes too??? if so where can i find them. thanks

  • Nope - no NYX palette available, or palettes that have square wells. So you will need to use MAC palettes and take the well-tray out.

  • thank u koren

  • Thank You Koren, another awesome tutorial! I gotta get to work depotting now lol.

  • Your tutorials are the best, and so useful :)You have great ideas, thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks Koren!!!!

  • thanks for this tutorial. These NYX singles were kinda hard for me to depot, but i might try it your way now!

  • Hey Encore, I depotted 25 of my MAC shadows using your method and gosh, you are a genius! This worked splendidly!!!!

  • HEy enkore, i love make up, my problem is for eyeshadows, i have a hard time picking up one bcos it seems it doesnt compliment to my skin tone. I am filipino in background, so yeah dark tanned....do u have any advice?

  • hey sympgirl - don't be afraid of any colors! having dark tan, try some metallic finish such as electra, woodwinked, sumptious olive! Sketch and Embark looks smashing too.

  • that great :)
