I live in Stuttgart and i was at the softball game and we heard the sirens and it scared the life out of me we always take stuff like that for granted and we just got the time of our life and Stuttgart decided to come together then we got hit with another one almost every year since then around the same time i hope we don't have any more tragic times like this
We had to replace our roof, had bad tree damage, damage to anytihing that was outside, including cars, and lost power service for several days. We have recovered only within the last part of 2009. The insurance companies were very difficult to deal with (and still are).
Stuttgart is my home town my grandmother lives on west 18th. i sure was glad she was ok. glad to hear things are alright at home, i'll be moving back in a few months for a year while my husband is deployed.
Gosh, at frame 4:43ish ...my dad's office is in the SAME building as them and for him to be so lucky not to have as much damage ....all he had was all of his windows and doors blown out..his equipment was completely safe. God was with Stuttgart that day!
This was where I grew up. Unbelievable footage and destruction. I watched the recorded video and then kept rewinding it and replaying it. Such and eerie moment as he says "we could very well have a big tornado here tonight" and little does he even realize its there already. The "green lightning" that he refers to are huge power flashes as the twister rips through power lines and then all of a sudden the debris cloud appears. WOW! SPOOKY!
Hey guys, I live in stuttgart, Arkansas. I just wanted to let you all know, we made a full recover by now, the town looks better than it was before, its perfect here now! :D
I am also from stuttgart. My family was one of the lucky ones. The tornado, at the lst minute actuallywent off ground for about 1 minute and flew right over our house. I could actually hear the tornado over as. For those of you who have never heard a tornado. You could say it sounds like a fray train or a soft coyote howl. It took about 2 months for stuttgart to recover. I will never forget how god looked over us that day.
I too am from Stuttgart, our home was located on Hwy 130, pass the country club. The tornado took our home, my parents business, our vehicles, everything. Amazingly, no one was hurt - not a single scratch. We lost everything but each other and that is all that matters.
Thank you. I live in Stuttgart too. It oould have been a lot worse for sure. I took the video from my front porch on the South end of town. The wife called me in the house when stuff started falling on the house and in the yard. We have just about recovered from the damage now, just a few more things to do.
thats where i live but i was at chuck .e cheese with my friends! :3
