unfortunately for MMX fans like us, CAPCOM won't do it. they'll just keep releasing current generation graphics. moving with times sucks, because there's more creativity with 2D graphics for games like these!

I do actually like MMX7 and 8, but my absolute favourite has to be MMX3. best mavericks and the best music in the MMX series in my opinion. a lot of people will disagree with my opinion, but it's only my opinion, not a critic statement lol :)

@Yabuturtle Except while it works for aomething like classic, it doesnt work for a more story heavy series like X. ESPECIALLy since the story Dept. has gotten bigger since the introduction of cutscenes in X4. The story would have to be ridiculously dubbed down to fit the SNES X series standards.

@FlameG102 Not necessarily. Mega Man X never had really complex stories anyway. Story doesn't really have to do much with graphics anyway. Some of the most complex stories are in old games like the Ultima series. And besides, when it comes to Mega Man I play for the gameplay, not the story because after all it is a game.

Megaman x9 in 16bit on VC yes. Megaman x9 in a full x360/ps3 release no. I played X7 and X8 and have no interest in 3d anything megaman now after being spoiled by Megaman 9 & 10.

Unfortunately, going 16-bit would require a serious investment on Capcom's part. Exponentially more than 8 bit, 16-bit sprites require a lot of time and effort to draw well frame by frame. At BEST, we could expect cel-shaded 3d-models in a 2d-environment. At WORST, we could expect a lazy flash-based game.

We're not just talking about the design of enemies/Maverick bosses/ We're talking about hand-drawing every single frame for new enemies, new over-layered armor pieces for X, new projectiles, new effects, and so on.
