Fernandes sustainer. Just keep bending the note with loads of feedback, hence why he's standing up against the amp. The note is G (10th on the A string) and then going up to teh A (12th) if I am not mistaken. Answer your question? :)

lol, learn? If you're talking the percussive stuff just before the song starts, just put your fretting hand over the strings (not pressing them onto any frets, just touching them) and strum away :p
