I love k. d. lang, but I am struck by how, in this video from 15 years ago, her voice sounds younger. The difference may be that she chose to sing this one in a higher register than she uses now, but still there is something young in her voice. I think i prefer her more recent sound. It seems richer somehow. Nonetheless, she is a consummate performer always and demonstrates it again here.
