I've also never heard entrails used in the US. If i heard that word i couldn't even tell you what it meant. Also, i honestly have never heard of that stereotype of New Zealand. To be honest (don't cringe :P) i didn't think New Zealand even spoke english until your show, thought you had your own language.
No one in the US uses this word. NEVER EVER have i heard it in the US. When i heard the word of the day i thought you were going to talk about cutting open a pig and taking out it's intestines.
I live in an area where many people fiercely resist swearing. It annoys me when they replace effective swear words with ridiculous substitutes: "Oh my gosh!" ... "Holy cow!" ... "Dang it!" ... "Oh my heck" ... "What the freak???!!!"
While I respect their puritanism, is it really pure to make it obvious that you really do want to swear? Just swear damn it!
Oi Kiwis, NO! I agree with the Sheriff. Better words for mild disappointment are `miffed' or `irked'.
Another annoyance is where the American's use `awesome' for something amusing or quite nice. These events do not inspire awe. Volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis are awesome. A new music video? No. :o)
Here are some more that annoy us Brits (hope this is okay Sarah)

Kiwi ingenuity is using a coat hanger (Te Reo: Kotanga :P) as a substitute for an aerial!

There are several ways that people have mangled the Finnish language into very retarded words and phrases, but I try to deal with it.
Nothing in English bothers me, though...
