ok so what set him off? was this a one time thing or not? Is it the crouper are you using spurs is he just green and full of energy? I have alot of questions here.
At least you owned up to the bucking part! I knew a guy who wouldn't admit to the fact that his horse was bucking... he kept saying that his horse was tripping a lot! (which is now a long standing joke in my riding group) hee hee!
@617Tora The first time a horse bucked with me i thought it was a trip xD my freind were like YAY first time bucking and i was time " eh?? whaaaaa? it did not buckk pffft"
@Timothy2035 you're right, that's because that's a young mule! It's amazing so many people feel they have to ride a such a young horse / mule. It's sad they don't let the animal grow up a little more, then to break then so young. It's no wonder so many young lame horses / mules are at auctions. As far as the song goes "Don't call him a cowboy" lol. That's no cowboy, well maybe a weekend cowboy in his new shiny cowboy boots lol.
@Timothy2035 Hank is a mule.. they can carry tons of weight, and for longer periods of time than a horse. That mule had no trouble with that guy, I assure you.
Nice mule and nice riding. Wanna come help me train my 3 yr old muleX brat? :) He needs someone like you to handle him. He has thrown everyone but me so far. :( Sending him for pro training, the turd. (see 'Mutt' in my videos)
Uhm... I For 1 Think You Need A New Horse Or Bigger Your Feet Are Like Almost Touching The Ground On That Horse Get 1 of You Children To ride it if you have children
Hello peoples I had a pony called Rio she bucks because she doesnt get what she wants the more she wants it the bigger she will go so if she wants to canter she will and if u pull of her mouth she wil buck because she has a tender mouth so strong lgs light arms so i dont use reins i use my seat and legs she still bucks cause im stopping her so then she will stop for about 3 mins doin nuffin and then she lets out a massive buck i s my ridin school had her last week no reins work fell off 10 times
a horse will only buck if he is in pain. holding its head up may prevent it from being able to buck easily, but wont stop it. if your horse bucks he may have back, teeth or feet problems, or the tack may be pinching him or uncomfortable. i ride a flighty horse in a snaffle bit, and to stop him from bucking i do my best to ride him correctly. bad riding makes a badly trained horse- horses may buck simply becuase he is naughty! the neck should be arched, the poll the highest point, head vertical.
heii such dir ein auto aus da kannst du mehr zeigen das einzige was du kannst ist oben bleiben aber du hast keine ahnung wie du reitest ziehst im maul herum, sitzen tust du miserabel und alles ohne helm (ja auch im western gibts helme)
Actually, its the opposite. Im not trying to be mean but if a horse's head is down that can be a sign that he is gonna buck, if the head is up then they cant buck...
Now how did that "don't" get in there? I meant to say, you have to put their heads UP, they buck when their heads are down, when their heads are up, they can't. It's a balance issue.
Ok, that makes more sense. lol. Yeah, my first horse would buck every once in awhile and when i got his head back up and kept it there he was fine. I learned a lot from him, and im still learning....
to ZeldyZeZedra ya but its crule its uncofortabul for the horse and acked up i know =( i was thrown when i trid that i never bid it agen ( i was riding bareback)
and for your info i have a condichen wher i have a hard time spelling and i cant do things with i pen and paper but im better of on the cumputer and it hurts the horse when the bridle is to tite have you ever had a bit that was to tite in your mouth? i binted think so
Gently tugging on their mouth doesn't hurt. It only hurts if the person is using a severe bit, such as a Pelham or Kimberwicke bit. a snaffle or grazng bit in a western horse's mouth won't hurt at all provided the person has GOOD hands.
I would know, okay, I have my own horse, she hasn't ever bucked once, the worst she's done is spook and move to the side or go anywhere BUT the path we were on.
that was the way i wat tot and whell my horse is 17 years old and i can get hes head up with out hem backing up iv tried and tred 100 times and i cant get hes head up=( sorry

@larasa007 how do you know this is a young mule? just curious is all. just because it bucked doesnt mean he's young. and the rider could just be big.

That is a BAD JOB. You have to get their heads up, horses don't buck when their heads are down, they can't.

what the HELL are you talking about?!
ZeldyZeZebra 2 years ago
when you holed ther heds up
animalejover 2 years ago
It's not cruel and it's not uncomfortable. you must be an idiot because you have to get a horse's head UP to keep them from bucking.
ZeldyZeZebra 2 years ago
ya right ppl make the horses holed ther heds up hight for fachen wach the black beauty and see wot i meen
animalejover 2 years ago
Okay, I'm going to say this once and ONLY once.
Learn to SPELL correctly.
That thing WAS a bearing rein, they're no threat to any horse at all anymore because they're banned, you can't use them.
pulling a horse's head up with a BRIDLE will NOT hurt it.
Get the facts straight.
ZeldyZeZebra 2 years ago
and for your info i have a condichen wher i have a hard time spelling and i cant do things with i pen and paper but im better of on the cumputer and it hurts the horse when the bridle is to tite have you ever had a bit that was to tite in your mouth? i binted think so
animalejover 2 years ago

ZeldyZeZebra 2 years ago
yeah in the early 1900s, no one uses check/bearing reins for driving anymore
pintoponylover4 2 years ago
not holding there head up teaches them bad habits and its not cruel it doesn't hurt the horse/mule/donkey it just prevents more bucking.
pintoponylover4 2 years ago
that was the way i wat tot and whell my horse is 17 years old and i can get hes head up with out hem backing up iv tried and tred 100 times and i cant get hes head up=( sorry
