@jessica33313 Bottom right. It doesn't matter where you put the picture if it's that small, the software that comes with the printer should just highlight it and save the image from that.:)
@biskotaime Well, the solution center should come included on the cd, if not, you should be able to scan just using windows fax and scan if the printer is connected. If that doesn't work, you should be able to download the solution center from the HP website in the support/downloads section. And no, you're not dumb, we all run into problems big or small!
@BGL1997 ive lost my cd. and windows fax is not available for Vista. so it remaines only t download the solution center. i entered to th Hp website but i couldnt find it. do you have e link??. ugh... anyway thanks, you helped me a lot :)))))
@Oceanlab2010 The printer's scanner's probably had its time. You could keep the printer if it still works (when printing) and buy a stand alone scanner, but, the amount i paid for my printer is roughly the same for a good quality scanner.

all the lights on mine even the power buttom is flashing , even day i try to scan hp comes up on my screen and says scanner failer
