They tore down the Atco Drive-in back in 1990 to build a multiplex....and that is now closed, too. Time to get back at the multiplex and tear IT down and build a drive-in :-)
@Broncort1 The Atco Drive-In is still there! It's behind the mutiplex. You can see it on Google Earth. If someone wants to restore it, I can help. Thanks, Crazy Bob.
I lived in Vineland untill I was about nine years old. My family and Iused to frequent the drive in in those days. Untill a few weeks ago 1977 wsa the last time Id seen it. I sincerly hope to revisit it next time Im in N.J. KEEP IT ALIVE FO ME!!!
I wish someone would buy and restore the M 60 Drive In up near Mendon, Michigan. thats one of my fave ghost drive ins but id like to see it reopened. Its pretty much intact.
I used to go there with my friends as a teen. Fantastic video, and I'm glad people can still enjoy the magic of a drive-in movie! Sorry, I may have snuck in a few times! LOL Kudos, Bob!!!
I am orig. from Salem County NJ. I remember hearing about this theater when I was younger. Wasn't thee a drive-in off of 295 near woodbury, NJ? Thanks for posting.
I love this video! Thanks so much. It's great to see what it was and what it is now. I was just there the other night. I'm glad my kids get to actually experience a drive in movie!
We have a nice clean drive in theater. The owners are wanting to sell due to their age. I hope someone buys the facility and keep it open. It was our every weekend outing. It will probably be torn down in reality. Owner told me it has a natural gas well. Lot full during movie time.
Outstanding video! As a kid living in Vineland we used to go to the drive in, and when I married my first wife we always went there on Saturday night. Was a sad time when the drive in closed. I live in Texas now and NO ONE here has ever heard of a drive in! Time to expand my friend!
Great to see a drive-in come back from the dead, unfortunately for me,the drive-in's of my youth are gone forever,RIP Deer Lake Drive-In,The Hi-Way Drive In and Pine Grove Drive-In
