@SzamanPsychedeliczny Hi there psychedelic shaman ;) lol, polish is so funny, anyway. I was going to ask you about the DraftSight: were you using it since the time you posted the comment? Did you find it useful ?
@nintram Hi there :-)) I've been using Draftsight for 6-8 month now. I find it great. I use it for 2d drawings of electrical instalations inside buildings and for grid projects etc. I really enjoy the mouse gestures and simplicity, so I can draw more efficiently. And it's free :D so that is simply sweeet :))) .. I would add some things though like applied printing templates for a drawing and writing lower index and upper index, also more symbols... do you use it??
@SzamanPsychedeliczny Well I tried it just for a couple of minutes. But I am a complete noob in CAD and I wanted to use it to draw some air ducts. In the end I thought to myself if it won't be easier/faster to draft it the old way without having to learn to use the program, since this is pretty much one-shot project that needs to be done fast and I don't plan to keep drafting regularly after that. So I let it "sit" for a moment now :). Did you use any tutorial to learn to use it?
@nintram I was drafting about 1,5 years in autocad and than switched to draftsight.. Liked it from the start.. it's identical to autocad and has some fine additional options. Small in size and free. I finished business school and got into drafting as my dad is an engineer.. I do the drafting, he does the math and the rest... I used a simple tutorial booklet and just drew.. :)) .. and lately I've given lessons in drawing in CAD :))) ... so I got to say, it's a easy to learn program :))
love it :D
