Petsmart also has a policy where absolutely no tools are to be left on the table with any animal, at any time. Can you please tell me why a "groomer" that went through a month long "intensive" training, 6 months worth of a probationary period and "cat grooming training" has a comb, slicker brush & DOG nail clippers on the table while the cat is being shaved?
Yes, I have no idea whatsoever when it comes to grooming cats...Which is why I am one of the most successful cat groomers in the metro detroit area, with clients that travel close to 100 miles for my services. Out of the 300+ cats I have groomed, I have come in contact with 4 that I could not successfully groom completely. The cat that is being groomed in this video was very calm and showed typical behavior when it comes to grooming. I stand firm that there was no need to harness that cat.
first of all the makeshift harness is necessary becquse it is Petsmart policy to make sure every pet is secure and sefond of all the cat is clearly matted and obviously hasnt even been bathed yet. Don't tqlk about something you know nothing about. Groomers get bad reps by people like you who criticize us on things you've never done.
I can smell the fear of the groomer through my computer screen. Animals sense fear. There is NO need for that makeshift harness. By the looks of the quality of the lion cut, the groomer is either very inexperienced or just doesnt care.
@lameasscatlady ..the groomers at petsmart are academy trained through an intensive month long program, then if the groomer has no incidents for 6 months then and only then are they able to be certified to groom cats, and petsmarts policy is to have all animals harnessed in the most comfortable way. I agree with raeolite625, you have no idea what youre talking about.
i curious how much this costs, I have one fluffy cat and i cut the mats from her fur myself, but in the summer i can tell she gets overheated. I would never be able to shave her like this myself
Lol. He's pissed, the second that kitty gets home its gonna shred every bit of furniture its owner has. xD

That is why I have always owned a short-haired cat. My Eva has a very sleek coat, and she just needs to be petted to stay soft.
