Harley is so bad at making motorcycles instead of competing in races with other bikes, they had to just come up with a Harley specific racing class/league whatever. Like dodge pento racing or something. I am sure that Yamaha, Ktm, Kawasaki, Dukati, Suzuki, Honda, Aprilia all have to step their game up for harley. Most cars and trucks with smooth good rides, power, and braking are all race inspired designs, but harleys going to outsmart them with their 1944 engineering.
Harleys are for those that like to look at motorcycles, like to work on motorcycles, and like to dream about riding motorcycles. Japanese motorcycles are for those that like to shut up and actually ride the damn motorcycles, those that don't want oil leaks or failures on the road, those that like motorcycles designed around riding, not designed like another piece of appearal for the rider. Harleys make great motorcycles, if all you like riding is in parades.
Really this is the first Harley that has ever caught my eye. I think it would be a winner if Harley priced it around $10,000, especially considering the out-dated technology on the bike.
Sounds like shit man, sorry. Nice to see china isnt the only one still using dual coil springs like that on the rear. Is that thing air cooled? First exhaust is obviously restricted, but that motor sux, look at all of the wobble and vibration, I would take chinese over harley.
@d1incharge - please dont take offense to this but I have to say you just dont get it. I grew up on cbr1000, gsxr1100w, and fzr1000. These were the best in their day. During that time I thought H-D was a waste of time. As I grew wiser and got some H-D ride time in I realized something that is not expressable with words. I learned a lot. Now I love all bikes. But especially H-D's and my own xr. Go ride one and have an open mind.
@hitnmhard I have ridden one, I think it was a 1200 softail or something, had 800 miles on it and my uncle asked me to ride it to the local harley shop to get something worked on(yes at 800 miles) I went to brake, didn't get very good traction. Cornering was weak, and just as I couldn't be more dissappointed, I hit railroad tracks, I wanted to throw the bike down and walk home. I understand the "character" in them, but to me it is unnecassary risk. Life choice, vs wise choice, 2 each their own
@d1incharge -Oh I understand. There is nothing like a new r1, cbr or anything of that nature. The speed, handling and breaking is incredable and can creat a great rush. You hit the nail on the head with "Life choice, vs wise choice, 2 each their own".

Honestly if somebody gave me one, I would probably drive it into a lake and feel good about keeping one more dangerous peice of shit harley off of the road. I can't afford a gold plated tricycle either, but I would feel safer riding one down the highway than I would on a Hardley. I ride dirt bikes with the owner of the local Hardley shop, even they know they are the worst bike made(even chinese are better)

Sorry to throw those crazy real world numbers at you but my "toy" has more horsepower than some Hardleys, with 125cc's! LOL, it weighs about 1/10 also making that "toy" about 10 times the performer. I ride what stops, goes, turns well and RELIABLY, you go for a fcking nametag. Good friend told me every other month they have a Hog leakng oil on the showroom floor!

Maybe someday at a light your leg is burning from a lack of liquid cooling, and your burping the throtlle cause like mose harleys it won't idle without it, you will think........wouldn't riding on pavement be easier.safer, more enjoyable on just about ANY other cruiser made. Save style and pride and pretty for the ladies, what has Harley done for you riders? Overcharge for everything
