Oh and for your HDD I suggest instead of using a HDD get a SSD pretty much they have the same size great speeds and amazing lifetime only problem is the price. If you don't want those these are two HDD's I really recommend the Western Digital Velociraptor amazing speeds and good price and storage. Or get any Seagate drive by far the best HDD brand in terms of speed (not comparing the WD Velociraptor) and lifetime
@Electrotutorials65 oh I know, I already am going to get a SSD, I would never get a HDD again, lol. SSD is a must for me. And for the power unit, Its just a matter of cost, Im going to pick the cheapest one I can get for amount of WAtts. Im sure Corsair is great though
Well VvcomphelpvV answered all the questions that you have all I can say is ask me on Twitter if you need help or anything... anyways but for the PSU I seriously really really recommend you spend money on a Corsair trust me if you want your Computer to work for along time I really recommend it' doesn't matter if its expensive your going to be getting quality a really long Computer life
And yes...you need the thermal paste! **Most 3RD party CPU coolers already come with it applied...at that point don't touch thermal paste of course...and install the cooler. **Even the stock cooler comes with thermal paste already. 8)
And yeah...if you decide to cool a different way, you simply clean up the thermal paste from the CPU and go on with the cooler you are upgrading to.
The motherboard should have like 2 + slots to plug in your fans.. of course you don't have to use the motherboard (I recommend you don't....this makes the mobo work a tad more. but its totally up to you), you can use the PSU to hook them up...or you can use a fan controller like I did. 8)
Nice choice on the CPU. 8) my 930 is beastin on everything so far. 8)
nice choice on RAM change too. 8) 12GB is WAAAYYYY overkill...even 6 is overkill..but its still a good amount.
@VvCompHelpvV Okay got it. Good to have either option on the fan power. And ya, the 6GB of ram and 930 should be plenty! And so if my CPU cooler comes with thermal paste already on it, then I guess I dont have to also apply it to the top of my intel 930 CPU? Thats good.
get a western digital hdd

Go Amd 1090t or 1055t :) Really good for future proof cause of AMD Fusion coming out. If you get AMD get a ATI Video card because of the amd vision !

@lAznPenguinl no, but the AMD 1055t and 1090 only have 6MB of catch, and only use L2 cache, the i7 has 8MB cache, and uses L3

@VvCompHelpvV If you think 6GB ram is overkill, than I don't know what you'll consider something bigger say cough 24GB cough

@yutubemedia Nope. You don't and should not apply thermal paste to both the CPU cooler and CPU. The paste that is on the cooler is enough. 8)

@VvCompHelpvV Okay thanks man. Great to know. I know its all Noob stuff, but that would be me when it comes to this particular stuff.
