@speckofdust21 Yes. He was tapping the neck while holding out a note. It is called a ghost harmoninc. I t obviously creates a beautiful sound. It is also a very difficult technique to master. You have to have a very good understanding of the guitar neck. and where all the harmonics are located on it. It does take practice, but the payoff is very great.

The one thing that makes this song so brilliant is the work of simple chords and the 1,3,5 structure. Then it does help to have a great guitar tone and know how to play the hell how of the guitar. Andy is amazing. I love the simplicity of this piece. It's beautiful. I watch this video over and over. You can really see that he loves to play. KEEP ROCKIN' ANDY!
