We still do NOT know if David existed, that Mernptah stela that claims to have his name listed as a conquered territory may be forged. The owl and vulture were the two birds in Egyptian glyphs, and if one has been forged into the other, then it is a COMPLETELY FORGED artifact and would then NOT say "David" because one bird represents different letters than the other !! There are serious scholars and PHD's at work on this right now, maybe the Bible thumpers can join in sometime ! ;)
I was expecting this to be full of the usual incorrect assertions that archaeology has demonstrated specific events occurred in the specific manner that they appear in the Bible.
Finally, a good honest vid that shows that we cannot really prove much of it as Archaeology is far too low resolution a discipline to even try to do that.
What it does do is give us a great resource to work with the bible to understand the cultural contexts within which Biblical stories existed and evolved.

I have the joy of knowing Christ through his Words. All souls are his. If it was God's will to use her to so be it. God used a whore(rehab) in the old testament to allow Israel to conquer jericho. Him using the Catholic "church" will be quit biblical.
Fantastic to see a real open minded and thoroughly informed archaeologist telling it how it is..or how it was, to be accurate. Dont know how many times I've seen some doco that digs up and old farm stable somewhere near Bethlehem and claim that its the proof of Jesus' birth place which is so ridiculous its beyond words.
When I was a kiddie we had this Readers Digest "Mysteries of the World" or History of the World book (or some such title). It had pics of what a bronze age village looked like, a stone age etc.
It had pics of Pyramids and temples. And the giant statues in Afganistan.
I loved that book and all those ancient and still surviving wonders. It makes me cry to think of what has been destroyed. What values and insights we could understand today if the art and information hadn't been destroyed.
Well, there are still many good Muslims out there who DO want to turn the world into a sea of fire, and plenty of their Christian fundamentalist counterparts who would rejoice had they succeeded detonating a nuclear bomb in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London or Tel Aviv, because for them that would mean that Jesus is coming back.
So civilization is not out of danger yet, sadly... :-(

No idea. Thanks for the warning. That seems quite absurd, as I honestly watch your videos, and I am not spamming it. If you want an honest comment, I first heard about this idea from the Zeitgeist movie, I was in shock, but it completely makes sense.
