hi, im a leicester fan, i love shrewsbury because i always use them on fifa, because there team is usualy the worst rated in england, the fans must be fantastic, all respect. Where-as i see MK whos fans have only supported for a few years, thayve never had good, and after leicester beat them there websites goin on about how good leicester where against you, and that isnt normal, you dont even know how to suport ur shabbles of a club, i hope u never move above youre 24th spot ur in now
oh last time i checked mk dons were a real club, as were wimbledon when i supported them, you know what else? they are higher up than shrewsbury in the pyramid, bet that makes your skin crawl.
when you feel more able to hold conversation about the teams i love (d) i will be willing to hear it
real genuine fans of wimbledon followed whoevers path suited them, a new club that was the original wimbledon but made no claims to be it
or a team that was formed when wimbledon was still playing, claims the history of wimbledon, and also grabs the moral high ground of being in wimbledon, they aren't they are in kingston, real fans stick out the hard with the easy they don't go off to make their own club when times are tough and thats why i chose mk
As an mk dons fan you have some cheek to talk about the league pyramid. Some millionaire bought his way in to it and you jumped on the bandwagon. If Winkelman wanted league football in MK why didnt he start a non league club and do it the proper way? You went for the easy option following Milton Keynes and you know it.
if you read my statement you would realise i was a wimbledon fan, but chose mk, talking about the pyramid shall we talk about how AFCW have forced Kingtonian out of their ground, started 4 levels higher than they should of in the non league and do not even play in wimbledon or merton...
as to the non league club, MK city was used by wimbledon FC in the 70's and ultimately this use crippled the club, which at some stages was just a league or two from making it into divisions, they went bust...
I did read your statement. You made a choice to start supporting MK Dons rather than afc wimbledon. Kingstonian is a bit nearer wimbledon than milton keynes. As for mk city, if the people of mk had got behind them maybe they would have survived. And that wasnt my point, Winkelman knew that he had to buy a franchise high up in pyramid, as that nice big stadium he was having built wouldnt have attracted big crowds in non league thats why he wanted Barnet, qpr or luton there. You are deluded.
i chose to support MK because neither team is wimbledon, one of them has the common decency to admit that, mk city wouldn't of survived, the moment wimbledon retracted money they took all of the money in the club, crippling it and leaving it in such a bad debt there was no way that it could of got out
winkelman wanted league football in milton keynes, no more, no less, the stadium would of been changed accordingly gauging crowd, remember we got 17,250 last year in league two
Yes he wanted league football in milton keynes and didnt go about it the traditional way by winning promotion. I dont know why you have a problem with afc wimbledon using the wimbledon name, where would the wimbledon fans go once their club got moved to milton keynes? For a former wimbledon fan you seem to have a lot of bitterness towards your former club and their business dealings, maybe stadium mk is the best place for you! Enjoy the fakeness.
i have not said that i have a problem with them using the wimbledon name, the problem is with them laying claim to wimbledon's history, which neither club has the right to do
i have not once said that the move was 'right' but i had a choice between two clubs, one who in my opinion were pretenders and one who were honest about it, i said i respect them for what they do earlier but don't support them
all wimbledon fans are bitter about how the club was run... what club do you support?
so a club that was elected to the football league, therefore you didn't 'earn' your league place either
you do not have anything to do with the wimbledon debacle and just use it as something against us, it is what many people call 'bandwagon jumping'
were you a wimbledon supporter, if not then why comment on the incident, the only opinions that really matter in this are those of people connected to wimbledon, be they AFCW or MKDFC supporters
1)You had that answer prepared, thats why you asked me the question in the first place, you must be used to addressing that point like Winkelman when he harps on about Arsenal!Anyway Clubs being elected to the league were the way things were done back then.
2) An mk dons fans acusing somebody else of bandwagon jumping?Oh my gosh do you not see the irony!?
3)Dont tell me you dont make comments or have opinions on other clubs all fans do. If something is rotten in football it affects alll clubs.
1)of course i had that answer prepared, you were not involved in the incident so cannot really take a moral stance, winkelman harps on about arsenal because they relocated across london and were renamed
2) if you read every other post you will see that i was a wimbledon fan, you keep adressing me as only a mk dons fan which is not true
3) you are allowed to have opinions, but if you were not involved there is no way you can keep up the attempts at grabbing a moral high ground
1) I know winkelman does thats why I mentioned it. It comes across as pathetic going an about something that happened decades ago to defend the fact he nicked a club from its fans.
2) How could I miss that you were a wimbledon fan you have mentioned it numerous times. I GET THE PICTURE YOU WERE A WIMBLEDON FAN.
3) All I know is if my club got moved to Milton Keynes and changed their name I wouldnt support their bastardised rebirth if thats taking the moral high ground then so be it.
1) i forgot to add that it is not really winkelman but some fans that go on about it
2) do not call me a bandwagon jumper then
3) it may be a bastardised rebirth but in my opinion it is better than the team that claims to be a team that was still playing when they were formed, the moral high ground is refering to the snide comments such as 'enjoy the fakeness'
i have very strong feelings about AFCW's claim of wimbledon's history which is why i chose MK
1)I heard winkelman mention it in a radio interview too.
2)Dont call me a bandwagon jumper then for having a go at a team formed in such a cynical way.
3)The AFC wimbledon fans obviously knew what was coming, they were right too werent they, their club got moved.
I have strong feelings about the way english football is going, its rotten to the core and the Winkelman debacle just adds to it all. Sometimes I feel like giving up on football altogether cos of stuff like this.
i call you a bandwagon jumper because you weren't involved in it and only do so because everyone else does, no matter what you say i know this is true with everyone, as a cobblers fan your main bite is probably us 'stealing' your fans
the AFC fans may of known it was coming but have no right to claim the history of the club i loved, MK gave the trophies back to merton so do not claim it, therefore i choose mk
Whoever came up with it is a desperate argument and attempt to look justified.
Not that bothered about mk nicking potential fans, northampton is a big enough town anyway and expanding all the time (sadly). If we had a bit of success and a bigger ground (neither likely by the way) then we would fill sixfields easily by converting the thousands of plastic prem team fans in the town. If everton and liverpool can coexist a few streets apart then northampton and mk can without affecting each other.
The expanding of sixfields and how it is going to be funded is an ongoing issue that been going nowhere for four or five years now. I won't hold my breath.
The difference between milton keynes and northampton is, somebody at mk council decided they wanted a championship or higher football team playing in their town. Nobody at Northampton Council is brave enough to make that decision.
good job you did to . cos you sir are a complete idiot. the worst type nf franchise fan... a traitor .. and you clearly didnt love the clu otherwise youwudnt have stopped supporting it..

you beat a weakened side with a championship squad *applause*
we were saying how good leicester were because unlike most people, we are gracious in defeat and say nice things about opposition
a good 500 fans came from wimbledon aswell
and we aren't in 24th spot any more...

i think they just gave it as an example that it had happened before initially
and you may take hope that planning applications have been recieved about updating and expanding sixfields
