  • There has been done alot since then. The engine is about 450-500 bhp now. And I have installed launch control on it. The tranny is getting a overhall aswell :-)

  • can you give me some details on the rims and tires your running? thanks

  • @dasaabguy

I cant remember the tires on dyno at that time. At race time we use MT slicks ET street 16"

The rims are some aftermarked rimes of some kind!

  • @900turbokaas cool thanks for the reply...was hoping you could give me brand name or if there were any markings on them. Would like to get some of those for my 87'

  • @900turbokaas what lip is that?

  • 252.9 kw = 339hp.

    convertunitsdotcom

  • @saabofmodesto + 5 for shits and giggles?

  • @saabofmodesto + 5 for effect = 344

  • @saabofmodesto + 5 for effect = 344

  • now fab up a rwd conversion for it. :D.

  • such a sexy car. love the old 99 airflows

  • Nicely done! Megasquirt rocks

  • BONNE VOITURE

  • the body kit is nice!!

  • @daggywood1 252kW = 337HP

  • 252,9 kw is about 339 hp

  • 344 bhp my ashole

  • I am sorry you are correct! It now has about 400 bhp since then!

  • @900turbokaas Hi, how many gearboxes have you been through? Lovely sound :D

  • @daggywood1 These motors can handle alot... You can get 400bhp out of that motor relatively cheap... It is just the transmissions in these c900s that are the weak/limiting point of the car and motors potential.

  • Är det inte bara air flow kittet?

It's called "air flow". And today I bought a SAAB 99! It's going to be a mean fuck! ;)

  • I got a NEW 99 airflow kit for sale

  • how much..might be interested

  • rare body kit, anyone know anything about it?

  • 252kW = 337HP very nice.

  • Oh I'm so jealous! I love your car! My first car was a Saab 99. Always loved those cars, grew up with them.

  • looks mean, nice looking car!

  • I actually dont know what turbo it is, only that it is very big. It looks like a garret but there aint no type plate on it. It came from a volvo of some kind!

The head is from a short block, it had to be changed so the chain goes free. The port holes are much bigger on this head.

We have dont done the tranny, a guy that knows much of trannys did it. It has been strongend several places and a stronger tranny house. The tranny just died in the front house so its getting redone this friday.

  • @900turbokaas probally from a tractor (SEMI)

  • No, there has been done lots of things to the engine. Bigger injectors + bigger turbo + FMIC + a worked head from a SAAB NG900 + the tranny is worked on as well + some lighter piston arms + home made inlet manifold and I can keep on going :-)

  • Sounds nice :)! What Turbo are u using ? Is it the "long" or "short" cylinderhead you are using? (Hope you understand wath i mean!?) Wath have you done to the gearbox? This car realy intriguing!! : )

  • Nice work there!

What have u done to the engine?

Becuse the megasquirt can`t make all that power from a stock 16v engine?

  • We are two friend on the car, and we both aint mechanician we have learnd on our own.

  • Great Saab 99 ! Looks very well done!

Are u working as a mechanician and build this car in ur free time up? Or do u learn all on your own?

Sometimes i dont know how u guys can build up that Saabs so great :/

My one rusts and rusts ... :(

  • Thanks.....

  • awesome car, color, and rad dyno numbers man!
