i don't know how to do that i'm sorry. my doctors sorted it out for me. the nhs has a waiting list of up to 2 years, and i'm not sure if its just for people living in the UK. i'm not 100% sure. sorry i'm not really any help!
This is amazingg! great job for hanging in there!! I had scoliosis surgery november 17th 2010. i got extremelyyyyyy lucky based on the way ive recovered. just 3 months after my surgery, i was doing back flips on my trampoline and just 5 months later, i was doing them on the grass at school for cheerleading. now, i lift, throw and catch 130 pound girls in cheerleading with absolutely no problem, and now im competing in gymastics level 6. i have a scoliosis surgery video too, if u wanna see! :)
@TheShelbzy how are you feeling ? I had mine 6weeks ago, I promise you it gets better, I feel good now (: minus the scar that hasnt healed at the bottom and formed a hole !
@Access2007Tech hi, my flexibility has been compromised but i havent regained all my strength back yet anyway.bending forward i can do left and leaning from side to side is where i have lose most movement because my fusion was in the middle of my spine. I wouldnt exactly recommend it to anyone with a curve under 40 degrees. but anything over then i guess it then comes down to your age, health and how much pain you have. hope this helps (:
@Access2007Tech forgot to add i had a 70 degree curve its now down to 18 degrees and Im proving everyone wrong by racing in june, so i think i was lucky with my surgery (:
I had my surgery in March of 2011 Crazy stuff aint it but the out come is the best 22 yrs old is my age when i had my fusion. started with the bends of 78 and 45 and ended up being a 23 and 13 after the job was done! :) The best out come of my surgey was knowing that I could hold and play with my 2 yr old son with out pain :D And being able to breath was a plus too lol but I Am very glad we have doctors to do this for us and i am just praying it is going to stay good and dont get bad over time.
I lost ALL my photos in my cellphone and my mother was a monkey when it came to using the camcorder, so now I have absolutely no memories other than the ones in my head from this experience!!! :{
wow some of your pictures are amazing!!! it looks so painful, is it?!! ah i'm dreading mine now lol. and is your scar fading now? you're so so brave, well done to you :) how are you getting on now? xxxx
@melissajanereedx It's was painful but I felt more sick than the pain. I felt like pukeing all the time. It was horrible. The pain was easier. Yes my scar is fading :) It looks kind of cool. Thank you for your support. I'm fine now and don't even think about my back. Hope your surgery will be as good as mine :) Good luck :)
I want to ask you about something because my scoliosis is almost 30 degree and I am curios to know where you did the operation and how much cost ? Thank you :))
@andreina111ify i had my operation at the nuffield hospital in cambridge, england! nuffield is a private hospital usually, but because the nhs hospital near the nuffield got extra funding to do scoliosis surgeries, we were allowed to have it done there! the nhs funded my operation so i didn't pay anything :)
@melissajanereedx Pleae can you help me to do the same like you. I saw the website of nuffield hospital and I dont know how to get the GP and after to choose the book. Pleaseeeeeeee.....Also I want to know if nhs can accept foreign people and provide everything of the hospital? Thank you so much :)))

@jesshep13 After the surgery, how is your flexibility? Are you able to bend forward/left/right? What do you recommend for others about to undergo it?
